I think there will be a week or two where the forums are full of new accounts complaining but once the storm has passed the most important thing is that the game is better for it. I really hate how third person view completely changes the pvp in the game. Almost all of the fights turn into stalemates with both sides hiding behind low cover or near a wall waiting for the other to make a move and thats when they pounce.

That is what makes pc gaming so good. You get rewarded for what hardware you got. If you get better hardware you get a better experience. Why gimp the game for everyone because of people running the game on a potato. -

I almost wish they would lock in the settings so everyone can render at the very minimum the same thing. Lock in a 2k m view distance where everything renders, then if you have higher hardware and can push this you are rewarded with even further settings and further view distance. Reward players that updated and upgrade their rigs. -
I bet you it is probably nowhere near as detailed or as complex as the Arma 3 method.

Theres actually quite an easy solution that nobody seems to want. 3pv servers only work in 3pv no fpv. 1pv only have fpv.

Stand Alone is terrible at the moment. I haven't played it in a while I'll go back to playing ACE for some sweet pvp.

Well in the new patch they made the .45 more accurate so maybe that is a sign of things to come. Really hope they do not stick with their stupid unrealistic accessories = accuracy crap. Handling, how fast the rifle comes up to irons, and weapon sway should be the only things affected by accessories.

Of all the weapons I want to see in dayz the most important for me is one of the worlds most important and popular hunting civilian weapons of all time. Remington 700 one of the most accurate and popular hunting and tactical rifles and the basis for the m24, m40 and countless other military and law enforcement organizations. Even the FBI with its super crazy moa accuracy requirements of .25 moa at 100m has picked a variant of the remington 700 as its main sniper rifle. World class accuracy, super common and above all really affordable.

Yea it's a weapon that makes perfect sense for the setting but more importantly it fits a unique and awesome role. Silent, short range to medium range precision rifle. It also hits extremely hard.

Sounds good the more mods for stand alone the better. The only thing I really hope rocket enforces however is making sure the modders cannot make a profit like some of the dayz mods. #1 wanted stand alone mod however is a ACE mod for stand alone and a wasteland variant. -
Talk about not prioritizing the right things. Who gives a crap about stupid paint on your weapon such an idiotic feature. Meanwhile the player count remains low, tpv is still a huge exploit and content is lacking.

Bodies should despawn atleast 2 hours after. If the devs are running into the problem of having too many people suicide then penalties those players, make it so if it detects they killed themselves shortly after spawning they cant play for a few hours.

Or they could use the perfectly awesome fov slider in the options menu. Now there is Zero I mean absolutely zero excuse to have tpv. -

Point is if he removes TPV as he should then nothing will happen. People will stupidly whine and cry for a week or two then finally they will adjust and continue to play. More importantly the game will be much better . -

One issue at a time brother. I do like how you attempt to derail the thread by bringing up zoom a feature that is there for a very real reason and is there to help with the limitations of video game technology. TPV however has no real life equivalent, I can't magically see around corners or through objects by looking at myself from behind my body in real life. -

ahaha of course its not. The game is in alpha and even if it was not game features and anything within the game is subject to change. Just like when the 50 cals were removed when they remove tpv people will cry and bitch for about a week or 2 then they will continue to play. and just like the removal of 50 cals gameplay will be better without tpv. -

Funny how they won't touch or are not commenting on touching the single most important hardcore feature. All of the other hardcore things mean absolutely nothing if you can still see around corners and cheat during combat. -

Lol what ? Removing it will merely stop people from exploiting this crutch and looking over and around corner, it will stop people from seeing what they should not see, it will improve the game tenfold instantly. -
