    Team Speak isnt a problem. What is a problem is that direct chat doesnt automatically turn on when teamspeak is being used. You should not be able to communicate without any risk in dayz. Ultimately what needs to happen is some type of ACRE system should come to dayz.

    The pkm is quite heavy so I can definitely see it fatiguing the user faster. While it is entirely possible to fire the weapon from the shoulder the gun does not have a heat shield so it is impossible to fire it by holding it by the exposed barrel , the bipod makes for a poor holding point for crouch and standing unsupported fire. The gun when fired undeployed should have heavy sway showing the players fatigue. When deployed it should be really controllable that is when its deployed on the ground or off a surface. The game would be quite easy to "balance". At the end of the day if they make it realistic the gun balances out and even then the devs could control the loot chances anyway. The Pkm comes is fed using 50 round belts these belts can be used over and over again. I also hate to inform you but certain ammo types are extremely common in large quantities. The 7.62x54r for example comes in huge spam cans of surplus ammo that was mass produced decades ago all over the former soviet union. That small case has 440 rounds and its dirt cheap. Anyway they could have a cool mechanic where you combine the rounds with the belt and then after some time and an animation the belt gets loaded with whatever ammo you had on hand. I understand the reasoning with limiting ammo availability in order to prevent kos but lets be honest limited ammo does zero does nothing to stop kos. If you give players 3 rounds for their mosin they will use those 3 rounds to kill a player.

    People forget that the team can control exactly how many of each weapon spawn throughout all the servers. So pkms being extremely common would never be a problem. That being said the pkm is pretty common throughout the world. More common than the rpk 47 and 74 and far more common than the rpd.

    The Akm is the common civilian weapon in eastern Europe and the Czech republic. In the Czech republic for example the VZ58 in full auto is the most popular rifle.

    Yea the pkm would be a very specialized weapon, its quite heavy at over 20 pounds however it would be unmatched at certain situations. For one the pkm would be insanely good for ambushes especially on light vehicles. The 50 rounds of 7.62x54r on its belt would shred a car to pieces and the weapon when deployed on a bipod is quite controllable even at long distances.

    I think the general hate is for military weapons that would never be found in such an environment. aka fn scars, as50s, Barret 50 cals. The pkm is extremely common and easily found in Eastern Europe.

    The blaser b95 absolutely works with any optics and has a wide variety of compatible rings. The mosin however should I repeat should not be compatible with the lrs. Only the pu scope.

    Everything that you mentioned + the goofy unrealistic accessory system. Sadly Arma 2 and ACE mod is 100x more realistic and authentic than dayz stand alone. Hopefully mods for standalone fix it.

    :/ saddens me how the weapons are treated in dayz. Weapons, Ballistics, accuracy is all un athentic in dayz. Problem is I can't tell if its intentional or just a mistake since its a beta and content is being rushed in.

    The mosin nagant is an absolutely vital weapon in the game but the way they handled it is horrific. Mosin nagant should not - Be compatible with high end tactical optics - Be compatible with rail mounted bipods such as harris and atlas. - Magically become more accurate when a bipod is deployed - be more accurate when a simple flash hider is attached. - Shoot as accurately as it does now especially with old surplus ammo. Vast majority of mosins in the game should be iron sighted with a few pu optics. The idea that a zombie survivor would have all the tools or the know how to attach a modern day optic on a mosin is crazy. Attaching a short relief optic on a mosin nagant requires alot of machining and gunsmithing. Optics should only be mountable on the real life compatible weapons.

    Rust or bust. Rust set the standard for what base building should be in a survival game.

    Exactly we need higher weapon sway but accurate weapons and realistic ballistics in place. Different stances should make different distance shots viable. Crouch and prone should provide a stable platform for intermediate distance shots meanwhile standing for short range work. Part of the problem is there is currently no way to rest your weapon on objects unlike ACE mod. ACE mod weapon resting on objects + Bipod stablization + increased gun accuracy + realistic weapon sway = perfect gunplay.

    The guns should be exactly as accurate as they are in real life. There are better ways to simulate the players not being expert marksmen. The random huge dispersion cone is not one of them. Weapon sway, high recoil, sight misalignment are all better ways to do this. Above all though the weapons should function exactly how their real life counterparts do. Reality has a way of balancing itself.

    What happened to "bleeding" to death?

    Everything does insane damage now so you never notice or rarely bleed out now. I like the damage model in the mod better. Weapons did blood damage and you had something like 16000 blood. I distinctly remember getting 800m shots on people with the m24 and when shooting them they would pass out immediately and bleed heavily.

    Well Mosins have insane recoil in real life too. What makes them really painful also is the metal recoil pad recoil is fine. Recoil for the other weapons however especially the m4 is super low.

    You would be surprised soccer moms are quite robust.
  24. Should be increased 30 seconds is far too low. 300 seconds sounds about fine.
