Once again they don't need to disable or discourage anybody from using outside VOIP. A simple mirroring would work. It would discourage anyone from doing anything if anything it would merely just nudge some players to talk a little more in game. -

Let's hope stand alone gets a good 2d scope like the one in your video with the proper 3.5x magnification so we can actually use it.

Ooo cmon. Justified has great writing, its clever and witty even if it started off as yet another cop show. Boarwalk empire is amazing although the last season was lacking and sopranos was ground breaking stuff, it capivated the nation week after week with its unpredictable writing.

1. If they really wanted to they could block team speak and mumble from being used. Just visit some ACE server without acre and watch as you get kicked out of the game by a script within a few minutes and a few warnings . 2. Nothing would change you would continue to use team speak and enjoy it. Your voice would just be mirrored in game whats the problem ? -
No if that were the case they would not be watching walking dead. They would be watching mad men, the wire, game of thrones, justified, sopranos, board walk empire and many of the other actually good shows.

Global ? no there is no side chat only those near you will hear you so you would have to be mindful of when you speak especially in populated areas. -
Can the same thing be applied to a m40a3 absolutely not. Different things require different levels of complexity. I am not promoting everything get more complex, Things that are simple in real life should remain so. Things that are complex in real life should also be in game.

Though not completely realistic I still think we need a very subtle noise that hums when players log in or when players log out. This way we can know if a player is logging in near us or if they are combat logging inside a house.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion bud nobody should flame you. That is absolutely not the case. IF this were the case 1.7 million people would have never bought the game to begin with. People buy dayz because it is hard, because it is not the same easy game that 99 percent of games out there are. I reckon it will have the opposite effect. Sniping would require more skill and more importantly practice, people would spend more time in game honing their craft thus more people playing the game. Long range marksmanship is a hard thing it makes no sense to have it become the easiest thing to do in the game when the entire game revolves around realism. You have to understand where why the mod was successful or where it comes from. Stand alone comes from a pedigree of mil sims so of course it will have military simulator elements. A zombie survival game and a realistic mil sim are on and the same only difference is one has zombies and one does not. Dayz is frustration day z is realistic. What separates dayz from warz, infestation stories and the countless other zombie survival games is that Dayz is the anti game, dayz is realistic and dayz has military simulator mechanics. Then learn ? Dayz does not hold your hand in any other gameplay mechanic why should it hold your hand for sniping ? Then don't snipe , pick up an assault rifle and focus on short and medium distance shooting. Not everyone is good at everything and the game should not make anything easier to level the playing field. Dayz is not a game though. As rocket has said, its the Anti- game.

That's why we should not restrict outside coms at all just mirror them in game without the option to turn off in game voice. -

It's having the reverse effect for me. Before I would rob people since there were no zombies on my tail and would only steal what I needed. Now I just do it quick and shoot people immediately on sight, dispatch of the zombies , rush the body and loot it , then run. The zombie spawn mechanic makes it pvp more prevalent. Not only that I now use it to detect if people are in towns. -

You know that will never happen. As long as there are guns and as long as there are players dayz will always remain a pvp deathmatch first and a survival game/ zombie game/ etc second. -

The game supports pvp though. Heck I would garner that the biggest thing in Dayz mod or stand alone is the pvp at this moment. Survival, looting are not fleshed out enough yet, yet pvp has always been satisfying. -
I see what you are saying judo. But at the same time it has to be worth a shot and tested to see if it works. If it does then it could potentially improve the gameplay tenfold and eliminate alot of the cheeseball deaths. They could incorporate it test it, refine it, until it seems fair and above all works fluidly.

sadly sometimes no. The game seems to render players at like 800m max when it should be much further atleast 3km. But thats besides the point. Should a sick infected person with a super bad virus be able to have the same vision as a healthy human being ? of course not. -
That is what happens when your character cannot physically see the zombie or person therefore it is completely fine.

Absolutely not. I always assumed one of the reasons stand alone needed to happen was so that zombies no longer spawned in near players. There was early talk of having all of the zombies that will be in a play session spawn in randomly in towns and cities and airfields then no more would spawn in. so much for taking towns and barricading them . So much for immersion when zombies can be physically seen spawn in. -

I don't think they have to go that far a simple ACE method of sniping works just fine. go to 4 minutes 50 seconds you look at the top left of the screen there is a temporary arrow that displays the winds direction and has a color associated with it different colors give you an idea of how strong the wind is. This works is not ugly looking and at the same time is easy to implement. You get the arrow by pressing shift + k

Not sure if ever attempted in a game but front focal plane scopes with mildots would be great.

I would kill for shamblers. Fast zombies suck. Stamina system plus tons of slow zombies would be frightening.
