Be sure to reduce it in the options makes it a bit better.

I would like to see a 3/4 day night cycle. 3/4 of it day, with only 1 /4 night. Time goes faster at night and day lasts longer.
-
With absolute and unending authenticity and realism ?
-
I can see this fixing that problem.
-
True but to be honest with you, I doubt those people outside of the forums would even notice the change.
-
Think of it this way. It will allow them the potential to have Hardcore players also enjoy regular now that their main gripe with it is gone. At the same time because of this they can totally go nuts with hardcore mode and make it as "hardcore" as they want without the worry of whining. They could turn it into a really good survival mode that is super unforgiving. As for your initial comment yea lol most of the time these threads result in constant back to back insults.
-
I rather see another Ar variant especially one used by the military that occupied chenarus as opposed to something stupid and unlikely like a SCAR, or a Steyr AUG
-
Just judging by a quick glance at the responses in this thread. Majority are in favor of such a solution or at the very least intrigued by it.
-
Yea I did not see it on the road map either. However I suspect they were not even aware of it. Hopefully by now this has come to their attention as a nice solution to get hardcore players to also partake in some normal servers. This is especially important because they plan to make hardcore a much different game mode in the future with scarcer loot, stronger zombies and other "hardcore" features. Adding this simple fix would allow them to go nuts on hardcore and not worry about people complaining that it isnt just normal mode without TPV.
-
Intended purpose is to cater to the whiny kids who want everything in the game immediately after they spawn. Caters to the people too lazy to venture in land to find loot. Caters to the casual newbies.
-
Yea we need someone in the community to fix all the unrealistic crap Fix the - Unrealistic weapon accuracy - Unrealistic attachments on certain weapons -Unrealistic ballistics
-
Why not just add a 18 inch mk12 SPR ? Semi auto 1:8 twist ar. I don't like the idea of unrealistic attachment criteria. There is no reason for an m4 now to not take an LRS.
-
ACE MOD But truly I wana see a complete realism mod - Stamina - Realistic bullet ballistics - No tpv - Bipod deployment - Weapon resting - Blood trails - Realistic medical system no bandaging a shot to the heart .... Just more realism tired of all the arcade crap in dayz stand alone.
-
It's just not a very common feature. In other games where life has little to no value this is acceptable but in dayz getting even slightly cheated out of your life is extremely aggravating. I don't think this feature has ever been put in on any other third person shooter game.

Project Zomboid while not a fps does a good job and it is a real time game. Zombies and players render in mili seconds when you are looking at them. One indication as to how feasible this could be is to check on the state of this mod within Arma 3. If a single guy can bang out a good working solution then I would have great hope for the 40 + guys at Bohemia to do it also. To be honest Bohemia has done far more impressive feats than this over the years I have faith they could crank this out not only perfectly but quickly also.

Yes. Without corner peeking there is no reason to have a hardcore mode. This was the only reason hardcore servers came about, because people were annoyed at the corner peeking and how detrimental it was to gameplay.
-
No this allows the community to come together into one hive. People who like TPv can have it and use it FPV players and play in FPV only and not have to worry about people corner peeking them. Everyone will be happy.
-
I can understand where you are coming from and from the setting of the game the rustic feel will remain. However it would not be too far fetched for these things to be implemented. Technology does not simply disappear and the cameras, wiring, and generators would be available although I would imagine would be quite rare.
-
I think it should be a priority especially now when its in alpha this way it can be bug fixed and enhanced to the point where players do not pop in front of you and distract you. Then again this mechanic of players and zombies poping in isn't a bad thing. Take project Zomboid for example even though it is an isometric game, only things your players eyes can see are rendered. This leads to some intense gameplay inside buildings and outdoors. You turn a corner and there it is a zombie pops up and grabs you.
-
Let's hope. I was hoping since they added the b95 they would have gave that the ability to use the LRS and remove it from the mosin but that has yet to happen. Hopefully in the future. Mosin should only have the pu scope and mosin specific accesories no modern optics, bipods,.
-
Read again, the overwhelming majority want the mod so long as it works right and does not ruin immersion. A hand ful of people want a restricted tpv camera + the mod to eliminate any over wall peeking.
-
Ever hear of generators and batteries . Cameras would not be that far fetched but I fail to see the point of cameras when the game stupidly lets you see over cover and walls.
-
Gtfo with that unrealistic crap. You do know that in real life the m4 is nearly twice more accurate then a mosin right ?

What do you think full modding support will do to DayZ
gibonez replied to Jex's topic in General Discussion
Modders can do anything they want. A mod can be something as simple as adding cannibalism to Stand Alone all the way to a total conversion that takes the game away from chenarus and into rural Ohio with completely new items and loot and game mechanics. Modding should be free and unrestricted in stand alone this way it can flourish and prosper the next big thing could come from this and besides if anyone doesnt like the mod nobody holds a gun to your head and forces you to play it right ? -

The fact that some people actually don't support modding here shows one of two things. Allot of these new players come from consoles. Or Alot of people in this community are stupid.
