You stay safe by building a base and fortifying it with doors and metal doors or walls. Players in order to break into your base need high explosives something very very very rare in rust. Guy sleeping in the video musta been a new player just sleeping in the open with a bright campfire.

It works fine in rust. It would work fine in Dayz once you build a base. Raiding a house or a base requires insane resources often times its not worth it. The have your player instantly disappear mechanic is idiotic. Not only that this would eliminate combat logging completely.

Ported no. Start from scratch and make new awesome mods absolutely. Breaking point for example is being worked into arma 3 and so far its fantastic.

Eventually when private hives come into play. And one player per server comes in, hopefully players will sleep and basebuilding and securing yourself with booby traps and fortifications will be important. It is bullshit that you disappear when you log off. Rust nails this aspect of being vulnerable when logged off.

I just want the crossbow to be realistic. No bullshit arcade or unrealistic game mechanics added in just to make the crossbow useful in game. If a crossbow is useless against guns in real life it should be completely useless in game. I don't wana see any unrealistic super fast crossbow reloads, no insanely powerful one hit kills , no laser fast bolts, no gravity defying shots. Treat it like a crossbow and thats it. Yea im ok with 30 second reloads for crossbows.

I doubt anyone in here has played it before but there is a single server running its own version of Dayz/ACE mod. This custom mod adds ACE's amazing features such as wind, ballistics, mrad/moa elevation adjustments, bipod deployments and others but the single biggest gameplay changing addition is the addition of stamina and weight. This makes it impossible to sprint like an Olympic runner everywhere you go. You can only sprint a short distance before you can't run anymore, you resort to walking more and if you are making a long trek you make sure you pack lightly because every single item weights you down. How would you guys feel if they adopted such a mechanic, of weight and stamina into stand alone. Would this create a more immersive game where every player is not magically running at 15mph everywhere they travel. Will this allow them to add slow zombies that are a thread because of the stamina system forcing your player to sometimes barricade himself and rest when a horde cannot simply be lost on foot. What are your thoughts on such a feature.

Yea the constant sprinting is super distracting. sprinting should be used very sparingly but its the main form of movement. -

I just thought about how important a stamina system would make vehicles such as cars and bikes . While costing stamina too and tiring the player a bicycle would make treking long distances more feasible. With a stamina system getting from berenzino to say balota would not take 30 or so minutes like it does now it would take a few hours due to the reduced speed and having to take breaks. -

I don't see the need for a skeleton period. A rotting corpse or a rotting texture on a corpse would be far more immersive and scary. -
It's a crossbow its gonna be useless against guns. No amount of fake tweaks will change this. For all you that will begin to claim "but daryl" The show is full of crap, if Daryl was put out in a real non made up survival NROL situation he would have died to a person wielding a gun right away.

Exp servers are awesome. You wana know what the best part of EXP servers are. NO zombies at the moment, really gives you a sense of what the game would be in a post apocalyptic world that isnt corny with zombies. Feels like the road at times.

It also uses an ammo that is extremely hard to find nowadays.

Looting your own corpse would be a stroke of pure luck in the future. Imagine when the player counts are raised dramatically, your body would have scraps on it by the time you got to it. -

Hopefully its the mp5. Makes sense since the Czech Republic uses it, 9mm only is used in one weapon atm and the mp5 is also one of the most prolific weapons in the world. Also LOL @ the people guessing the p90 why would they add such a rare and tacticool useless pdw to the game ? at that point they might as well add a mp7 another failed micro munition failed project.

Doubt they would not give the akm attachments. I mean just look at the mosin nagant a 100 year old weapon , mounted with a top of the line 2014 variable high powered scope, Somehow modern bipods attach too.

I don't like the idea of bodies despawning. They are far too useful for gameplay reasons to simply have them disappear. A dead body is a tell tale sign of trouble or some poor guys bad luck. Seeing a body in game should give you butterflys it should instantly give you a doze of adrenaline making you wonder if there is a sniper looking at you at the moment, if it was simply zombies that took him out. Bodies need to stay as long as the server is up, and only despawn on restarts. Perhaps if retards stop suiciding this could happen. -
Don't worry I am sure the PKMs, AKM,ak74m, aks 74u, saiga 12, RPG7s, spg9s, mp433s, vss vintorez and the rest are all coming. As for the mk17 yea that would be a long shot, that weapon would rare in the US let alone in some Eastern European country.

Perfect gun IMO for a .223 bolt would be a Savage hog hunter. Threaded muzzle + built in iron sights

One cannot adjust because every wall, every rock formation, every rooftop could have a player that is hidden with full view of me. Biggest crime of the current way TPV works is gameplay. It simply does not have those situations where you players missed each other while looting a town and then happen to stumble onto each other and at the very same time freak out.

Well if steam is anything to go by workshop does not have all the mods like nexus does.

I rather have both facets be treated as realistic as possible. Really helps drive the immersion. Seeing weapons or objects in the game world that are unlikely are just so jarring sometimes. Then again I am also the dude who wan'ts crew served weapons and sPG 9s eventually so take what I say lightly most people don't agree with me on that.
