    We have nothing against the weapon honestly. It is just that seeing a scar in the game is too immersion breaking and jarring. If it gets added then why not add a cheytac or a mrad into the game or any number of obscure modern weapons that have low adoption rates in very few militaries. The weapons obscureness makes it immersion breaking.

    Not if you are me. I prefer a good set of irons and iron sights really should be the main armament in the game. Iron sights do not break or go back. Scopes and aimpoints and optics do and after years the number of working optics in chenarus would be few. Optics are quite fragile in real life heck alot of optics break simply from the recoil of the weapon alone internals get shifted then the scope does not track correctly. The heavy recoil impulse is one of the main reasons it is not adviced to put glass on heavy recoiling riflles such as g3s or aks. I really wish iron sights make up the bulk of the weapons in stand alone with optics being found on sub 5 percent of the players in the game. Irons really give us that low tech survival vibe the game seems to be aiming for.

    Give SA a break. Zeus was released today on for arma 3 go give that a try. Try project zomboid its great. Play ace mod on arma 2. Just give SA a break and then come back when more stuff is added I recommend coming back in 3 months will feel like a drastically different game.

    They do server a purpose and that should be to defend highly valuable loot. Zombies should not hone in on players from 100 meters away they should be nearly blind and have bad hearing too. They should be densely grouped in areas of high value such as cities and military bases making looting those places highly risky. Shooting should not make the zombie magically see you, it should make the zombie come investigate the area where the shot came from and if they happen to get really close to you then then lock in on you. Zombies also should never ever spawn on a player in the middle of nowhere not only is it immersion breaking and jarring it is detrimental to gameplay. Heck I am against spawning zombies all together, just nail the optimizations correctly and at server start spawn in the thousands of zombies all at once no magically respawning zombies or loot. That is immersion breaking.

    I bought it thinking the survival aspects would be good and having played the mod from the very start like literally played 3 or 4 days after It was out I wanted to see how stand alone was. I am not completely against zombies I just absolutely hate how standalone uses them as a way to grief certain playstyles. zombies in standalone are the glitchy buggy things that come attack bandits that is all. They spawn near players out of thin air and then zoom in on them when they shoot a player.

    Nope if you see my post I actually want harder pvp. I want this kind of shooting. What I am saying is that zombies are a gimmick now, had dayz come out 5 or even 4 years ago the zombie idea might have been fresh. However in 2014 it has been done to death and only hurts the game. It especially hurts the game when the zombies are so poorly done that they only serve to inconvenience people due to how glitchy they are. Zombies are just walking bugs , the virtual equivalent to mosquitos just there to annoying you and serve no purpose.

    We have to make a distinction however between a cermaic plate carrier and soft body armor. A plate carrier would have shrugged off that buckshot and rifle rounds without any injuries to the user, because the ceramic plate or steel plate inside takes the full force of the shot. Soft body armor however stops penetration but at the same time spreads the kinetic energy over the surface area of the vest so those vest do cause nasty injuries to people.

    I was referring to how the weapons would function and react. However concerning what weapons should be added I think they should keep the current trend a solid mix of civilian weapons and Eastern european/soviet military weapons all in common military chamberings and popular civilian loads.

    Even though the bullet is stopped by a vest, it still causes nasty internal injuries. Hope the game simulates that with the new cool hurt animations in exp. I mean just look at Al wizzle here . He gets shot with a .25 acp round a tiny baby round and look at the damage it left to his skin. Anything bigger would have surely atleast taken his air out if not caused internal bleeding.

  16. Finding your friends in a huge map should never be quick. The game should not hold your hand and make it easier to find your friends it should be a challenge each time.

  18. There is nothing wrong with that. You can get a gun anywhere in the map. How would random spawns affect that ?

    Central Hive Poll

    Can we be completely honest here ? The central hive idea while at first seemed like a good idea is completely flawed and is detrimental to the game. The central hive is the reason why. -Ghosting -Combat Logging exist. A central hive needs to be removed if alot of the more ambitious projects are to take off. Base building for one would absolutely not work with the crappy central hive. Nothing to prevent people from spawning in close proximity to your base. -Spawn in take a few pop shots at the base occupants , Disconnect - Move to a different position, reconnect in base server, shoot a few pop shots once again, disconnect. - Repeat. The central Hive does more harm than good guys. Private servers are the way to go. One character one server.

    Let's not forget how overly accurate the in game mosin is compared to a real life stock mosin with surplus ammo is. A LRS would be useless with a real life mosin at anything past 400m.

    I could get behind this. Stamina system could work - Would make people pack light for long trips, or dangerous missions, would force people to walk not sprint everywhere. ACE ballistics and sniping - Sniping would require skill now and the sweet complaints from 5 year olds not hitting targets at 400m would be glorious. Heck the stamina system could result in them adding shamblers and having the zombies still be dangerous even with slow zombies. The zombies would have good stamina meanwhile if you packed heavy you would run out of breath and tire out leaving the horde of slow zombies to eat you.

    Inability to deal with jank and how badly they are implemented. They are there to punish players who shoot other players it is as simple as that.
