At the same time the dayz that we know would have never been possible in any other engine. You think dayz would have been as succesful as an arcade shooter and not a mil sim ? You think it would have done well in an engine that does not render 1000s of km of land at a time ?

You do realize MS has a studio making a zombie survival MMO right. Same people who made state of decay. That will probably also be on pc so thats good for us. I Honestly think dayz is a lost cause and waste of time on consoles. By the time they bring it out to consoles something will already be on those platforms and to be honest those games will probably cater to console players anyway. -
5.56 would absolutely deal more damage than any pistol round in the game.

No they have a chance to build a completely new universe in dayz and in a sense do whatever they want with it. So creating their own unique universe would be ideal.

At this point they are fools to port it. By the time they even get around to porting it, h1z1 would have wrapped its hands all over that marketplace on the ps4 and im sure microsofts zombie mmo would have been out by then too. -
Are you on crack ? 1911s are known for their accuracy atleast on the pistol world they are the most used competition pistol in US for multiple reasons. 1. They have amazing triggers and great aftermarket support. 2. They are single action. 3. They have a nice long 5 inch sigh radius making longer shots easier. Easier to keep sight alignment . 4. They fit naturally in the hand partly because of the narrow grips due to a single stack magazine. Why are you spouting incorrect bullshit ? Dude nobody is asking for that. What people are asking is for the weapons to react realistically but have the way the player handles the weapon reflect that he is not a super soldier and instead a survivor. There are litterally dozens of ways to accomplish that. - Increase sway - Require weapon resting in order to make longer shots doable - Include a stamina system so a well rested and not fatigued player can make longer shots. The stupid dispersion system results in skilled players being cheated out. Adding more weapon handling mechanics while correcting the firearms would result in people who are skilled being able to make those skilled longer shots while inexperienced players are not.

300 sec wait time after getting kicked from servers

Pretty much. Ops slight wait and suffering is worth it for the sheer amount of server hopping and potential ghosting it prevents. -
Complete and totally incorrect ? Due to the lack of support and rigidity shooting a pistol is quite difficuilt but the mechanical accuracy of a pistol is no different from a rifle. In fact most new studies suggest a shorter more rigid barrel is actually far more accurate than a longer barrel because the barrel does not whip or flex during the process of shooting. So as you can see pistols are quite accurate so please stop spouting nonsense. The only reason pistols are perceived as being inaccurate is the shooter having to deal with more factors when shooting a pistol + the low ballistic coefficient and low muzzle velocity of pistol ammunition. So to make it simple no pistols are no inherently inaccurate.

I don't think your realize how many buttons are required for dayz and arma. You must be crazy, the reason why the frame rate is low on Dayz and arma games is because it is a very cpu intensive game you think the netbook cpu on the crappy apus will handle that ? As to your BF4 reference think about this. The ps4 was able to handle BF4 at 900p and at high settings meanwhile the xbox one did so at 720p and high settings meanwhile old ass pc gpus were maxing out bf4 at 1080p + with older gpus such as a gtx 580 or 570. Don't buy into the 8 gig gddr5 kool aid . The new consoles are weak as fuck and they fucked up by making them so weak. At this moment now there is a console to pc power disparity of up to 11x and the consoles have not even been out a year. ps4, xbox one, wii u are all the same weak ass underpowered budget consoles wish they would have been stronger. -

They also added a hurt animation that makes you move slow when you have fractured bones. Hopefully they add more hurt animations and have a deeper medical system no more get shot in the throat with a shotgun ooo let me rip my shirt and fully heal myself crap. -
Damage seems good but accuracy is pathetic. Really wish they fixed the dispersion already.

Ok lets put actually visualize this for a minute and you guys can tell me if it makes any sense. Right now with the lack of any stamina system and the players somhow being triathletes a player is able to run at this pace when sprinting event hough he probably has a backpack, a rifle and probably +50 lb of gear on his back indefinitely. This is why we need a stamina system this is ridiculous.

Not sure what the exact speed is but I can tell you its too fast. Olympic sprinter speed + permanent stamina + a 80 lb backpack = wtf realism.

Don't get me wrong I am all for more depth and complicated features. Remember I want moa/mrad elevation adjustments. I also want a more complex medical system where rags and bandages merely slow down bleeding or stop surface wounds but a gunshot wound requires alot more work. I am hoping the game goes for a mixture when it comes to easy of use especially for instinctive tasks. Something like looking at your compass can be done with relative ease and takes no longer than a second or two in real life however in game this is a chore due to the many steps that are required before you can get your bearing or direction.

How I wish for a randomised spawn system one where you randomly spawn I'm the lower half of the map. A system where there would be no berezino or electro no central pvp area just people evenly spread out.

Is it though? Wouldn't you say that when the wind blows and hits your skin face and Hair you instinctively know the approximate direction of where it came from this where it's going. Along with direction can you also to the best of your ability also guess strength? How do we give this information to players something we all posses quickly and in the least obstructive way possible? This is why I like the arrow method the best. However for accurate reads and speeds you would still need a krestel.

Authentic you say. Think about when you are out side and the wind blows how quickly can you just instinctively tell what direction the wind is flowing? Ask your self do you need a flag or dirt to tell you it is flowing to your left or straight ahead? You generally don't right its just one of those easy things you can just feel. Arrow is a good way to simulate that without the need of yet another cumbersome and unrealistic mechanic. Your skin is the largest organ, it is able to guess wind direction and relative speed even with out training.

So replicate that by sway, sight misalignment, weapon resting and realistic elevation adjustments? Or just keep the magical cone of fire and magic pieces of accuracy plastic mechanics?

Or Instead of adding an overly complicated method that is counter intuitive how about they just add something simple , non intrusive that works such as ACE's arrow. This is the compass situation all over again. The compass in dayz mod and arma was simple to use and worked. You simply pressed k and a compass showed up. Now you got a clumsy approach to it, where you have to actually equip the compass and then open it and then finally look at it. It is a real clusterfuck for something that in real life is insanely simple to do.

Exactly. Attachments make the user more accurate with a weapon but they do not change a weapons mechanical accuracy. In dayz it does. Instead of simulating what you described by changing the behavior or handling of a firearm with the attachment , they instead just reduce the magical cone of fire if you have the right attachment. This is what I am getting at. BTw ace will never be on stand alone. Makers of ACE hate dayz.

Most people would consider it still awful. For me personally it will always be awful unless they are mirror copies of their real life counterparts.

Regaining blood isn't a problem. What is a problem is curing life threatening gunshot wounds to the heart with simply rags.

works perfectly. Arrow that temporarily comes on screen with a keypress. Arrow is the perceived wind direction color of the arrow displays the perceived wind strength.
