I find the side arms to be completely useless due to their spread. Meanwhile in arma 2 the side arms were a good defensive weapon even the makarov. I never felt outguned when I had a pistol so long as they were within 100 yards.

I bet the people who are complaining are the same ones who love the unlimited stamina and 14 mph sprint speed even when you have a mosin + 60 lb of gear in the backpack.

try sprinting over steep hills you will move exactly like the character does.

Yea that would be a problem. Really not sure why they not only increased the number of military spawns but actually increased the loot that each spawns.

Well that would be a highly unlikely scenario a one in a million shot. if they happen to spawn near or around a military spawn then luck hit them.

People will do that regardless, but forcing people to travel far into the north and far west will encourage map migration.

I like the day and night cycle in rust. Time goes by much faster at night and the day is longer. What ends up happening is people build and resource gather in the day. Everyone runs to the safety of their home at night but people also do night raids on bases.

Yea I would expect the acog, and the rds to be robust those are military optics. The long range scope in the game however feels like crappy scope to me, I mean it has a duplex reticle after all and I really cannot comment on the reliability of pu scopes having never encountered one but I would imagine they are not that good at reliability considering their age.

One easy way to make chenarus unique is to have loot be unique to different regions of the map. They can do something like western military rifles only spawn on the far north west of the map meanwhile southern military spawns are only low tier russian firearms.

Perhaps but this would fix the problem quickly. Why mess around with other solutions when this one would work immediately.

While most scopes are robust one has to remember alot of optics especially cheaper optics are not. Heck alot of cheap scopes break from the simple recoil impulse of certain guns.

Don't forget ghost recon and how that once great franchise was destroy in order to appeal to casuals. So long as Dayz strives for complete and utter realism it will be in good hands. But as soon as they start doing things to appease the more casual player is when the game will go to shite. -

God I hope it as atleast a button that triggers an animation where you can see your gun in your hand and or see the fire mode. And not some clunky mess like the current implementation like the current compass. I am all for realism but there gets a point where basic functions such knowing the firemode on your weapon or quickly glancing at your compass to see what your bearing is becomes cumbersome. -
Absolutely, being able to see through buildings and walls is just game breaking.

I don't even think the wound system in arma 3 is detailed enough for my tastes. I wana see very clear and noticeable entry and exit wounds for bullets so I can tell exactly how and where a person got shot when I look at a dead body.

I was refering to being able to see things that would be physically impossible for your character to witness. also the 4th wall mod would also fix the camera clipping issue.

Pretty much watch any gameplay video on reddit and people camp or abuse tpv to see around or above objects.
