Why not both the ace method allows deploying tall bipods that you can then attach your weapon to. I highly doubt a system that recognizes surfaces is a bitch to implement simply because of how fast the arma 3 method was released it took them like a month to make.

Pretty much. Even then the kevlar vest should absorb pistol rounds and lower yet somehow are able to absorb some of the damage for even 7.62 and 5.56 rounds at close range.

I'm not sure if I read your comment right but you wan't is an unrealistic restriction on the player where he can only rest his weapon if he posses certain items aka shooting sticks. Correct me if I read you wrong. eitherway any part of the map should be a viable resting spot anything from the side of a tree, to a rock formation to a window or a table. There are lots of mods in arma 3 and of course ace mod that do this they simply detect geometry that is stable and fixed then allow the player to deploy on it. ACE method is particularly awesome because It allows you to drop your backpack and then use your backpack as a shooting platform .

Who cares about fun. Fun for any Bohemia made gun comes from realism. More realism the better.

The public hive is a flawed concept. It's very existance ruins alot of the immersion of the game. Having your character magically pop in and out of different servers is inherently stupid and fucks up the game. Private hives cannot come any faster, the faster the better. We need to get rid of ghosting, server hopping and hacking. Good white listed servers will do that.

Military spawns are out of control but not only how much loot they spawn but how many military spawns there is. The mod had it right. it had 2 major military loot locations , 3 smaller ones.

Players had high player hp in the mod and the gun sounds were lame too but the gunplay was sooo much better. I think the problem is consistency. Currently their is 0 consistency in anything related to pvp. 1 shot to the chest of one player can kill him or it can take 5 shots nobody knows its totally random. Clothing soaking up damage is a terrible mechanic as it leads to even more inconsistency.

It should be done exactly like it is done in ACE mod. SPACE + Shift lets you rest your weapon on a surface if it detects one, or deploys bipod.

I still don't know how the mod in the video is half assing it. It looks like a working mod that does a good job emulating weapon resting and bipod deployment.

Jesus who have you been fighting professional boxers ? Most of the fights I have ever seen or participated in just ended up in bloody noses and bruises. No knocking anyone out just 2 out of breath people tired after punching each others face.

Remember the adrenaline only kicks in sometimes and even then alot of the times hydrostatic shock takes over and incapacitates the person. Being able to take multiple shots is a pistol thing, it is quite rare for a person to take multiple rifle shots and not be completely incapacitated. One thing I am interested in knowing is how does the body react when it gets hit by a rifle gunshot without any anticipation just walking along the street and it gets railed by a .223 tot he chest. The bullet travels faster than the speed of sound so it would have impacted the person long before the body could register the sound.

It ruins your fun but kos is fun for the grand majority of people. KOS is a permanent part of the game that will never be gone, people just find fun in ruining other peoples fun.

I am still confused why 5.56 is not a civilian spawn ammo type. Maybe when civilian 5.56 /.223 weapons are added they will begin to spawn at civilian locations. And absolutely weapons that do spawn with a magazine should spawn empty ammo is easy to find atm .

Once again. Spawning magazine based weapons with empty magazines does not make the game easier it just makes certain weapons viable. The reason peole do not use the sporter is not because of lack of ammo or because they think its shit, its simply because finding magazines is such an ordeal for that weapon that by the time they find a mag they would have found 3 or 4 mosins or sks rifles by then. I personally would love to use the sporter all the time peck at people annoying them. I would actually love some stats on player behavior to be released. I would bet my left nut that the number of people running around with magazine based weapons that are not the m4 is exponentially smaller than the non magazine requiring weapons.

Punching is absolutely stupid atm. Wat is need is some kind of shove button, like l4d to push away plays who attempt to punch you.

Yup this has been the case for a long time.

Are revolvers not working weapons, are sks and mosins not completely functioning weapons also ? m4 is fine the way it is now only because of the high number of military spawn points within a military base. It is daam near impossible to raid a fresh base and not find magazines for an m4 in the process. The same cannot be said for the pistols and for the sporter 22. This is why these weapons are rarely seen.

there is only 1 way to make zombies a threat but people would hate it. 1. Stamina system needs to be added where you get tired and need to rest, you can't sprint forever. 2. Shambler zombies need to replace the clunky sprinting zombies. 3. You run around trying not to wake up the horde if the zombies hear you , you simply cannot sprint away due to the stamina system forcing you to barricade yourself somewhere or find alternative means of escape. zombies will only be a threat when zombies number in the thousands and theres a stamina system. either way I don't see any happening so zombies should just be removed they add nothing tot he game atm.

What about simulating shock especially when shot and you have no idea it is going to happen like a high powered rifle round from a long distance ?

It has nothing to do with making the game easier or not. What it has to do is with making some weapons actually be useful or completely and utterly ignored like the sporter is or any of the magazine fed pistols are. What good is having dozens and dozens of magazine fed weapons in the game when everyone will just get a mosin or an sks because of the internal magazine.

In exp they brought back the iron sight zoom and unzoom ability. So now iron sights are useful at 10m but are also useful at 300-500m. Gives irons alot of versatility. It is one good improvement.

The way you worded it sorta seemed to suggest that. Then again the whole accuracy vs precision argument is always a strange one. Not to mention the whole if a player is accurate with a weapon does that in fact make said weapon more accurate too ?
