I don't thinkt he as 50 is the problem. I believe the mention of a thermal optic was the big cause for concern. That being said I wouldn't mind a kvsk in game It is relatively in accurate requires skill to use and would work fine as an anti vehicle, anti base fortification gun.

You gave me chub by mentioning a model 10. Now I must ask which model 10. I am quite fond of the Model 10 FCP SR shame they no longer make them. Great value and a good looking gun. -

People wont render past 600m or so it might be lower .

I am ok with that. Anything but the horrible stuff that is in game now. The accuracy of the gun should remain the same even without a hanguard at all obviously you would burn your hands though allowing you only a few shots before you must stop.

The mp5 has been a workhourse all around the world since the 1960s it might be the worlds most prolific smg. It would fit any setting. As for the model shown It looks like gews might be right. Notice the rear sight. See how it differs in the stockless model. sigh they will be including it without a stock and most likely no hand guard..... For realism and authenticitys sake I hope it spawns in with a hand guard and a stock then gives the user the ability to remove the buttstock in order to perhaps put it in your backpack or something. I really hope there is no more dumb gameplay mechanics like finding a stock increase your accuracy and reduce dispersion by 50 percent or some other dumb thing.

First thing I think about when I don't see a stock is. Unrealistic one handed operation blasting away at full auto from the hip our arm extended like a pistol :/

It was terrible in the mod and just facilitated people. It allowed the game to turn more into a pvp fest and put less emphasis on your characters life. Less control in game the better the game will be.

Awesome news if it becomes true. although I will settle for nothing outside of real life accuracy when it comes to the weapons. A slight improvement will still sadden me. I wan't a 2 moa m4 at 100 yards regardless of what buttstock or handguard is on it. Handguard should just affect recoil absorption , and or sway.

The uzi fits the setting and is such a common smg that I am sure something like it will be in game. Hopefully it is the full sized uzi not the micro uzi and hopefully the mp5k gets a stock : /

Match grade .50 cal ammo is quite rare. Especially for the russian military, russian match grade ammo in any caliber is rare. This is one of the reasons why the kvsk is so inaccurate then again it doesnt really matter when the weapon is intended to hit large targets such as cars or trucks. I really hope the devs are trolling us right now and then one day they magically release a realism patch that makes the game realistic and takes out all of the unrealistic garbage.

Does that change your mind ? The p1 allows for the suppressor to be mounted and a pistol light yet it has no threaded barrel or rails for the light. "the way the game is going" simply means I feel like its heading in a more unrealistic direction with every update. This is just what I feel it simply an opinion.

Dispersion is part of the problem yes but the inconsistent damage model is also part of the problem. As it stands the m4 is probably the 4th best rifle against players at the effective range of the m4. At 200-500m the m4 is atrocious against players due to the damage model. Currently the mosin is the weapon of choice at those ranges due to the heavy hitting sorta reliable damage and the good relative accuracy. The m4 however at those ranges you really are rolling dice , each shot comes with a dice roll to see if your shot goes anywhere near where you aimed, each shot that connect once again is a roll of the dice to determine damage. -

the new spawn system is just an experiment to see how player behavior changes . I am sure it is not the final design. I expect a completely random spawn system to be in place eventually spawning you in land randomly in a house or the woods. -

You just said it. 2-3 shots to the chest drop someone. It is a pea shooter compared to the other weapons 5.56 is a nasty round and a single shot to the chest and head should take people out regardless of what kind of soft body armor they have one. It is incredibly dumb when you have a ,357 magnum do far more damage than a 60 grain 22 caliber round screaming out at 3000 fps. The m4 is a pea shooter in all and is by far from the best gun in the game. The mosin and revolver remain the best weapons to use against players. -
Absolutely. Rarer optics + realistic optics meaning optics only mount to the correct weapon and do not follow the current universal accessory method. The way the game is going I would not be surprised if you could mount optics on a lever action .357 magnum rifle that eventually gets added.

Explosives and bolt actions are the 2 biggest categories that I feel will add alot to the atmosphere and gameplay. Explosives and booby traps in particular could fundamentally change the gameplay.

yea true everything is subject to change. I just feel like atm they missed a golden opportunity by adding so many optics and by making optics so versatile. 99 percent of mosins in the game should be iron sighted rifles just like Simonov intended. Optics make shooting far too easy and the gameplay has greatly affected because of this. Iron sights making up the grand grand majority of the weapons in the game would have led to more interesting gunfights to say the least. I could see suppressing fire playing a role but sadly the optics cancel that out making long range accurate fire almost childsplay in game.

Lucky you for finding magazines for it. I am really fiending for a bolt action .22 that is super accurate out to 300m. Lovely weapon to harrass people with.

crossbow in game is very much bigger than a m4 or the b95.
