I have to strongly disagree in your logic. THe fact that something CAN be abused does not mean it should be stasi-controlled. There must be guidelines in place for WHEN it happens, but not so much that you take away control. There is no shortage of space.. Have you looked in the server browser? enough space everywhere. Another hilarious thing is that we need to report every single kick we make, whaat? Thats insane. It really is. The person getting kicked is the one who should report it if its worth reporting. ANY admin / server owner should be allowed to decide who they want playing on THEIR server. Because it's their server, not dayz staff's server. (Look at unban forum, they states "banned from our servers". Obviously players kicked/banned from other hosted dayz servers shouldnt post there.)

Did you not read your own first post? It has everything to do with why servers go down and stay down.

First of all, yes I did write that, and no, thats not admin abuse. Stating one wishes something is not abuse. I did not kick you, nor ban you, or anything like that. On the other hand you killed me for 0 reason. (I dont like bandits, but not much I can do about that, is there?) Second of all, after you killed me I was down near the cost, how the heck am I supposed to have been the one firing at you? What you DID do infact is combat-log, which to my knowledge is a bannable offense. Next time you want to report someone for abuse, make sure they actually abused something. I am no bandit. I dont suddenly "kill" people. Of course, there is no way to know this for sure, but behaviour being "a bit off"? You deserve some swearwords here that I dont plan on writing.. Thats the behaviour that is wanted. Some people will always go around killing for no reason, and sadly I'm not allowed to remove those individuals from my server.

As a server owner (yes owner.. Dayz: We should not be referred to as hosters, but owners. We do infact own the server.) I have to say that I think many of them go down because admins feel like they are being controlled. Some of the rules we have to abide by are hilarious. Not even stasi-germany had rules like these. We dont get to control how big our servers are(Minumum 40 slots), who we want on it. We are not allowed to kick for our own players/clan, and every single kick/ban has to be reported by us on these forums. As far as I know a ban is local, and there are many servers out there. If someone is banned from a server, understand WHY you were banned, and dont do it on the next server. THat being said, there is always the possibility of admin abuse, which is why I said "some" of the rules. Any ban made by any admin should be defendable by that server. Another thing I just saw is that the ban section states "Banned from OUR servers". My server is not your(DayZ staff) server, its my server. Its hosted by me, for me.(And the general public), but it is in no way DayZ staff's server. While I do understand that some control is needed since its connected to their hive, there is no way they can really defend the rules they have made. They defend it simply by "Follow them, or we remove you". Even if its connected to your hive, its not your server. The hive is yours. While I might get banned from these forums, or have this post deleted for the telling the truth, I dont know. And yeah, I guess thats it.

Twice it has happened that I save a vehicle, restart, log back on and the vehicle has transformed. An s1203 became a pickup, my ural became a BIKE! I found the ural back where we first found it, in the shape it was originally in, and all the stuff gone. If saving doesnt work, they should remove the option or fix it.

If anything DayZ staff needs to give server owner power back to the owners... While I respect the rules as they are, I do not agree with them in any way. A server admins should be able to: - Kick players to make room for their own players - have less than 40 slots. - kick whoever they want for whatever reason. Cant understand why DayZ staff has to be so controlling of the servers.. Yes, its connected to their hive, but still...If you dont like how a server runs, join another one.
