Balota Buddies. A name you may have heard quite a lot. If you have not yet had the pleasure, allow me to introduce BB and the things that make it such an amazing community, and an amazing experience. Lets start with a little backstory, shall we? About 5-6 months ago, I was a drowning in the hackers, glitchers, loggers, and trolls. I had no home server, no-one I knew played the game, and yet I continued. Because it was just THAT good. But of course, all good things come to an end, and I saw that I would not be playing much longer if this continued. At this point I would just jump randomly from public servers to private hives. Whilst doing this I encountered a server known as AU BBhive Public. I was amazed by the amount of extra barracks, loot spawns and PVP. Make no mistake, it was a server marketed towards PVP, and there the appeal lay. Whilst getting my ass kicked in Elektro for the 5th time, I happened to see a huey. Inside that huey was a man called the_chad and his friend Aliqz. I don't think I realised just how much these two would entirely change the way I look at DayZ. They picked me up, gave me a ride up to NE. Whilst in the heli with them I was complaining of bad frames, a common problem for public servers at the time. Chad was quick to tell me about the whitelisted servers, where there was no lag, no trolling and certainly no hackers. It seemed a fabled dream, something I wanted but couldn't reach. Chad and Aliqz logged off, but not before loading me with amazing gear and a huey. I was struck by the kindness these two displayed, and proceeded to lose the huey to desync as I flew by Cherno. But the idea stuck, and I decided to get myself whitelisted. What happened since then contains too many words to put in this post. I have met some AMAZING people, including such gems of the forums as: Steak and Potatoes (every bit as manly as I thought), Inception, Derpy Hooves, Kebab Remover, Creep, Star and too many others to name, Thank you all, for you made Balota Buddies the best thing to happen to me for a long time, and I'm sure many others would agree. Bump for Kebablessness

Kebab told me to get on here and promote us.. so I will. BB is the best DayZ community I've ever played on. I was seriously getting ready to quit DayZ with all the hackers, scripters, loggers, and other such trash that was making DayZ unplayable. I have been around for six months now, never once seen a hacker in my entire time playing.

Balota Buddies, A great whitelisted community, never once seen a hacker in my 5 months on their servers. Look up balota buddies and sign up, theres a really helpful video showing how to whitelist.

There are a few such servers, but keep in mind that there is no guarantee of safety, as there is no way in DayZ to turn off player damage to each other. Admins will ban those who kill, but it can STILL happen. Good luck.

Basically, If you find a gas station, you don't even need to get of your vehicle. Just park (If you have a chopper, land on a gas station with a roof) and your vehicle will be rapidly refilled.

You'll need a better processor, at least a decent I5.

Day 52, always pvping on max pop public hives.. died just yesterday due to an AS50 sniper.

That's a pretty damn good rig... but don't expect to play Arma 2/3 completely maxed out. It's near impossible at this point unless a GTX Titan is in play. Especially Arma 3.
