Stay out of the big cities and nwaf, and learn to move smart. If you're playing with a buddy, one of you act as over watch as the other loots places like supermarkets, heli crashes etc.

How do you guys meet up in game?

Meeting up with randoms is one of the best parts of the game. I'm the same, no RL mates in the game so lone wolf most of the time. It makes for a great night when you meet up with a random and team up for the session. My tip tho, get their ingame name, and if you really hit it off, trade steam/Skype names before one (or both) of you get killed. Without side enabled, chances are you won't find em again. -
Try to find a good private hive and stick to it, they seem to be less prone to hacks...note i said LESS prone...

Someone tried to bluff myself and a fellow survivor...we were raiding the medical tent area near balota and some dude was yelling at us to "fuck off" otherwise him and his buddy were going to shoot us. It was dark and I didn't know where he was so we left the area and applied some medical attention to each other. After seeing that he says, "hey you guys seem cool, come over and we'll trade some shit". We go over and see him, by himself, prone in a deer stand, unarmed. Now I'm not one to shoot anyone unarmed, but if you try to bluff, expect to be killed. -

Why were you playing on a server that only had 2 people? Low pop servers are for noobs. Half the fun of dayz is knowing you could get shot at at any given time, the other half is knowing there are more targets to shoot at ;) -
