Keep in mind that if you are using a USB headset, it wont make a shit of difference what soundcard you have. Also, as someone else mentioned, find a server with JSRS. Once you experience it, its hard to go back!!

Why do you consider commander bloat ware? It doesn't install any crap other than the actual program, and if you set it to close upon joining a server, it doesn't use any extra resources. Are you one of those guys that doesn't like something because it's popular?
