Need Medical Assistance? We can help.

If anyone is able to, I need some help at the Northwest Airfield. Nothing too serious, just super low on blood, down to 4300 right now. If anyone wants to run out here for a blood transfusion, that would be great. :) Skype name: msanc28

The Trolling of Nick (Satchel Charge)

How the hell did your humanity get to that level?
  3. It took me forever, but I eventually slogged through this mess of a post. No offense, and this is only an opinion, but I hate it. Once you start giving "Power Ups" to people, it starts to kill the realism, it kills the pressure, it kills the paranoia, and all of these are what keep me in DayZ. When I die from an asshole bandit who gained nothing from killing me, I admit, I almost quit every time. But it always hits me: That time I ran across the survivor in Electro, and we only had Makarovs and bandages, trying to escape the snipers in both fire towers. We agreed to team up for the time to bring them down...Sure, we failed miserably, but the TEAMWORK. The CAUTION. The extreme CRAZYNESS of each situation is completely made by how you can trust no one, and there are no indicators for if you should trust them or not. Bandit skins kind of changed this, but with how glitchy they are right now, I don't rely on them anyways as an indicator of a person.
  4. I'd like to admit to the group, I have extreme DayZ Paranoia. This creates many problems for me, especially in any type of encounter situation with another player. I'm extremely shy..Or should I say "scared" of anyone that I see. I've come to expect EVERYONE to stab (or axe me) in the back of the head. I've even come to expect it of the soul-sucking goats that are prowling around the area. Back on subject: I trust no one that I meet from a random occurrence in-game. A survivor with a hatchet? You had better believe he is about to eat a magazine of AK rounds if he doesn't respond fast enough. A bandit? I KOS them anyways. I know how easy it is to spawn in with a bandit skin, or even to get one unintentionally, but I like to play it safe. Someone in a ghillie suit? If I can kill you, which is *rarely* the case, you're dead. If not, I run. I don't try to find a safe place, but I RUN. I try to get to a whole different town. I try to get to a whole different area of the map. Ghillie suits signal extreme danger in 100% of cases for me, friendly or not. If I travel with you, you're a prime target. That situation is purely hypothetical though; I would never trust a random ghillie. Is that a survivor holding *nothing*, but out in the middle of nowhere, kilometers from the coast? Sorry, but I KOS you, too fishy of circumstances. Just the other day, I killed a "Survivor", holding nothing, no weapon, but just following me. Creeped me out enough to the point that I shot him. 2 clips with an AKM for him to die. His loot? 7 civilian clothings. One may say "Oh Grassman, you punk! He probably just found those!" Lies. Lies lies lies. Who has that, I ask? A hacker? NO. HE WAS A CANNIBAL. A SHAPESHIFTER. AN ALIEN. Okay, I may have overreacted. I'm sorry, it's just my DayZ Paranoia kicking in. I take nothing at face value anymore. I'm sorry in advance if my left mouse button is a tad bit oversensitive and I shoot you on sight. I'm not a bandit. I'm not a survivor. I'm a narcissist. I care about my own health, with little regards to others. That's not to say that I will kill people to advance my own goals. No, it only means that I don't take chances. Damn, guy with a flashlight running towards me...No communication. As I watch him, I see it: HE IS SHAPESHIFTING. Oh, maybe not, he's just crouching down, and changing direction. I'll let him live for now, but if he comes back near me, I have to watch our for myself, which is always the story of my DayZ life.
  5. If you hadn't had contact with another player for over 6 days, you turn into this guy. Then you go camp out at Green Mountain and scare the shit out of people.
  6. So, I was up in Elektro hills today, counter-sniping, when I saw a small...Idk what it was, I'm still kind of new to the game, but it looked like an old Volkswagon Van coming through Elektro. I thought "Hey, that's cool!", before I saw the thing run over two survivors with hatchets in the street. I then decided that they didn't need to keep the van. It turns out, there was only one person. He came to a stop near the industrial area of Elektro, and got out to loot a warehouse. I popped my Rangefinders, and the yardage was at 521, easy enough shot with an SVD camo. On his way back to the van, I couldn't get a clean shot, so I waited for him to hop in, and was going to just pop him through the window. I put two quick shots through the driver's window, nothing happened. 2 more...Nothing still. I reload, then proceed to empty my entire clip through the window, and shooting both tires facing me. I reload again, scope in, and see the guy running. I put a chest shot on him (I saw no plume of dust from the ground, so I'm assuming it was a hit), then the guy falls down, in the death pose. (face up, sprawled)...No death message. He then disappears, and the van is gone from existence when I look back at it. Can someone tell me what happened? (This was my first assault on a vehicle btw, so I didn't know what to expect.)
  7. If you kill someone with a ghillie suit, you can't loot it off of them. Or are you saying that the ghillies kept their civilian clothing in their inventory? Either way, I know, I shouldn't have killed the guy, but he was just following me, a tiny bit west of Olsha. He had no food or water, just civillian clothings. Looking back on the situation, I don't regret killing him, He just reeked of the stench of strange. ;P
  8. But he had *7* of them. Why would he have that many?

    I...I Don't Understand.

Sorry for the super late reply to the questions asked. #1: I have this gear from axing a question to a sniper in Electro the other day. He was distracted I suppose, by the multitudes of people running around in the city, and I heard shooting from the Eastern industrial area. Ran up the hill, saw him relocating to a better position. Ran up behind him, and he decided he wanted to make out with my axe for some reason. Strange people in this game. Needless to say, I won that quick fight. #2: Yes, I had a rangefinder with the SVD. The sniper had it on him, and it was my first one. I wanted to use it, and I like to play it safe. Those 30 meter difference in your estimation with the SVD rangefinder? Too much of a variable for me. #3: I'm not entirely *New* to the game, I had been playing about 3 weeks before this encounter. I still consider myself a *new* player though. On a more related note, thanks everyone for the feedback! It didn't seem to be a laggy server, my framerate was around 28 fps, with only 65ms ping. But who knows?

    The QQ Thread

First of all, I'll admit. This is a QQ thread. I'm about to whine and complain, so...Yeah. I had finally just stocked back up on decent gear. Had a Cobra in my primary, Makarov in my sidearm, along with plenty of mags for both. I also had a hatchet, knife, and those rare as hell matches. I was off to make a living in the wild, and attempt to ignore other players and the cities. So, as I was wandering around, I met another survivor. We said hello, and attempted to loot some of the smaller Northern cities. At one point, I hear the breaking legs of a player, and look over to find my newfound buddy dead. As I was checking for snipers, my legs decided to also act like they were caught in a meat grinder, and I died also. A few I'm Tired Of's: I'm tired of hackers. I'm tired of random deaths. I'm tired of KOS'ing. I'm tired of "friendlies" donkey punching you with a makarov. I'm tired of graphical bugs. I'm tired of zombies teleporting. I'm tired of invincible barbwire that takes up an entire city. I'm tired of L85's everyone I look. I'm sure people will claim I'm a carebear, I QQ too much, or that I should just learn how to play, since it's an Alpha and all. I know, but I just wanted to get some of this off of my chest. Feel free to add some more "I'm Tired Of's", or also feel free to insult me, which I'm sure will be very prevelant on this thread.

Need Medical Assistance? We can help.

Hey Hey you guys. :) I was looking for a blood transfusion. Some asshat called friendly, then started spraying with the AFK that I GAVE HIM. Anyways, I'm on the western edge of Elektro with 2.4k blood. I can still run where you need me to be though. Any help would be great. :D Skype name is msanc28.

    Trading outpost

I could come along to help out. Currently, I have NVG's, GPS, Rangefinder, and an SVD with 6 mags. I'm a decent shot up to 650 meters, anything farther than that is iffy. Skype name is msanc28, leave me a request with "Trading Outpost"
  14. So, I've always been an opportunist for the 4 weeks I've played this game. Any players kills I've had, it's been for gear or for something I don't have, which also includes people who have been friendly to me. Today, I was having a bad day, and I had been sniped about 4 times on the road along the coast west of Komenka. Well, to my luck, I finally spotted one of the coast campers, and managed to dodge his shots and axe him the question of if I could have his SVD Camo, which he kindly agreed to. I slowly made my way to Electro, and found a great sniping position. (No, it's not the hills near the Northern Firehouse. EVERYONE and their grandmothers go there btw.) While I was there, I decided I would go ahead and counter-snipe a small bit, just for a change of pace. The first target I found was on the hospital roof, aiming at someone. I saw his target was an unarmed survivor, in the middle of the street, being chased by a whole train of zombies. I was torn between taking out the sniper, or breaking the guy's legs in the street, just for a laugh. I decided to instead take out the sniper, then proceed to clear out a few of the zombies chasing the survivor. The guy being chased by the zombies then stopped in the street, and saluted. I know for a fact he couldn't see me, nor was he in any position to know that I wouldn't just shoot him once he stopped. But you know what? It made me feel good to help a survivor instead of capping him. Don't get me wrong, I still won't put myself in harms way and throw on a Superman cape, but if I can help out a tiny bit, I think I'll start doing that instead. (It makes me feel all tingly inside! ^_^ ) God knows we need it in these hacker/camper/KOS times.
  15. ...No one finds the whole "Gun and ammo rarity makes no difference" to be kind of fishy? I mean...You can't just run out and grab and l85 at will, and no one can come on here and try to say that they can. "Oh, just go camp helicopter spawns, you noob-sauce, lulz." Get out of here with that.

    The Turning Point. :(

That was what I used to do...And still do sometimes, depending on the adrenaline level. Usually, if I see someone with a ghillie, I kill them. Not because I'm jealous or anything, but because they're an elite players, and most elite players turn to pvp for kicks. Not *all* elite players, but most. I don't like my chances with ghillie-men.
  17. I'm looking for some players to play with tonight. I don't have any classes in the morning, and my roommate is gone, so I'm bored. You can just PM me on here, or the more preferred method would be to find me on Skype: msanc28. Not much into banditry, so if you're looking for that...Sorry. :(((
  18. Like the title says, I'm looking for some more people to play with. I recently started a fresh spawn, as I got gunned down at nwaf. Hopefully whoever replies is a survivor! :) If not and you turn out to be a bandit...Eck, I hate you. Forgot to post: Skype name is: msanc28, or just PM me on here.

Smartest player I have ever seen.

He was probably a new player, who had no weapon and was scavenging. That's a crazy high bandit level you have there bro.
  24. Hi, I'm looking for a tent, along with some matches and M9SD rounds. I have a FN FAL for trade, or some NVG's. The FN FAL has 3 magazines with it, and the NVG's have a bunch of awesomeness included with it. Skype name is Msanc28, or just PM me on here. I'll be checking against the safe trading list, if you're not on there, I'll have some extra security for you to follow. Thanks! :)

Removal of NVGs and Thermal Scopes

My suggestions go toward the stand alone, since in this version any script kiddie can throw whatever he wants in the game: Remove the thermal scope, but leave the NVG's. Like the guy above me said, also make the NVG's use batteries, as this would force people to be sparing about when they actually use their NVG's, instead of leaving them on for 5 hours running around in the woods. I don't know how Rocket could do it, but actually making it to where people *have* to use their flashlights more often would also be pretty helpful, as of right now, they are basically a shining beacon of death.
