  1. Seriously calm the fuck down, get off the highly populated server, GET OFF THE FUCKING COAST, and for the last fucking time, stop running straight at me when you see me. I will shoot you even if you appear to be unarmed.

    You should change the 10-18 to 8-12, and 14-18. Makes it a little easier to tell if said person is 10 yrs or 16.
  4. Forget all the bandit noobs who snipe new spawns in Cherno and KoS, this is a simulator, not a game. I take it seriously, and I enjoy it seriously. If you get cheap thrills by sniping new spawns, trolling survivors, or killing people the moment you see them, I feel bad for you, you're missing out.
  5. I can totally understand that this may not be the dev team's priority right now. But choppers have been out for at least two months, and before the 1.6 patch we were able to fly them just fine. My team and I found a Huey yesterday sitting in an open field. We didn't care who owned it or whatever, we proceeded to jump in, check the gear and status of said vehicle. I hopped in the pilot's seat, having the most experience, and most of the indicators were red. We just sat in the chopper for five minutes giddy with glee, and all of a sudden the thing just fixed itself. A moment earlier I was looking at red indicators-now it was green, and all the glass was fixed. I started her up, and one person sat on each M240, and another sat in the co-pilots' seat. It was getting dark, but I had NVG's. We overflew Poebeda Dam and Blunt Rocks looking for camps. We were on top of Rocks when the crew chief exclaimed that the chopper had "chucked him out". He had fallen out for no reason and was dead. Not a full minute later the other door gunner fell out, dead, and now it was just the guy in the co-pilot's seat and I. We flew for another five minutes and then the co-pilot stated that he also was now dead due to the infamous desync bug. His body remained in the chopper, his mouth wide open and blood running down his face (huh)? I landed then and as soon as I did that, the admin restarted server, and the chopper was gone. But here's my question: Why, after more than ten different updates and hotfixes, has the desync bug not been fixed? I have never encountered this bug while in vanilla, and in earlier versions of Day-Z I was able to fly without any issue. This isn't a whine thread, just a thread asking why a lethal bug hasn't been fixed. Is it really that hard to fix, or were they removed for balancing reasons?
  6. Do you like the idea of throwing cooked/raw meat to distract zombies? This isn't a cartoony idea, but if you throw meat within a few feet of a walker, they should stoop down and eat for about 15 seconds, then resume patrolling. Y/N?

    NO. NO Left 4 Dead type zombies. This isn't a cartoon. We already have hoppers, sprinters, and crawlers. We will have zombie dogs soon.

  13. Ah, cool! In the patch notes I didn't see anything about choppers, and yeah, that's how my squad got our chopper too. How did you fix desync bug?
  14. At the moment, if you fire a weapon, every zombie in range will start sprinting for your beans. And with the latest patches, zombies will hear, run for a bit, and if you're out of sight, they will walk towards your position, slowly, until they reacquire LOS. But what if this was changed? What if you fired a weapon in a town, and every zombie in range walked toward the general direction of the shot, instead of running like fucking Kenyans for your beans? And then, once they acquire LOS, THEN they chase you? Now, obviously, there would need to be some fixes. Weapons would maybe need to have their "draw" distances increased, anywhere from doubled to quadrupled. A G17 shot can be heard by other players for 200 meters, but zombies can only hear for 50 meters? The "draw" range, where zombies will walk towards you, should be increased to something like 150 meters for said weapon. Weapons like the M107 should have draw distances close to a kilometer-how you ever heard one fired? The Lee Enfield should have it increased to about 400 meters, to balance the fact that they kill in one hit in PvP. I can run into a supermarket, shoot an M4, and maybe only have to kill 8 or 9 zombies, because of tiny aggro distances. Possible List for zombie draw?: 9mm pistols: 100-150 meters Makarov: 100 meters .45 pistols: 200 meters, especially revolver. Double barrel shotgun: 300 meters Winchester:250 meters Most shotguns:200-300 meters, depending on type M4/M16 family:400 meters AK family:500 meters M107, AS.50: 900 meters Light snipers, such as CZ 550: 500-750 meters, depending on type. TLDR:Zombies should not immediately run to gunshots, but instead walk towards them, then run when they see a player. Weapons should have draw distances increased, depending on loudness, especially heavy rifles.
  15. I don't see this anywhere else, and it's freaking me out, so here I go: Ever since last night, any server I join says "Bad version, server rejected connection". I am trying to enter 1.7.2.3, and last night it was just working fine. It has a red X on the far right near the server name. Does it have anything to do with the beta patch?>
  16. It says "Verify" but won't let me update any further. Something broken? A lot of people can't get in.
  17. No, I just checked, my server is running proper version, but my version is wrong. It won't let me update.

    Get rid of all the sniper rifles

    Aw, you need a tissue? Any idea how hard it is to even obtain a rifle in this game? Even the most common, CZ 550, has less than a 2% rate I believe.
  19. I agree with uran dot. Zombies shouldn't pull aggro until they SEE you, so if you fire a gun, they should walk towards the shot.
  20. Well actually it makes a tiny bit of sense (except for when a zombie comes into the house you're looting and get messed up randomly.) Because zombies might be able to smell you. But I agree, remove it.

    Zombies should have more random Loot

    OP is right(but stop using capitals in the middle of sentences FFS). Perhaps medic or doctor zombies could have a bandage, of course with a low spawn rate like 10 percent. Regular soldiers would have a STANAG 5.56 clip or an AK clip on them (50 percent chance) because that's what they do. Heavy soldiers could maybe spawn more M249 belts. And maybe even now and then a zombie soldier could be carrying a Glock or some sort of pistol. Again, very low spawn rate (except for zombie ammo) but this is a good idea.
  22. OP, you're forgetting something-this is a place where multiple wars were fought, and much of the population had access to weapons, especially farmers. This isn't Dead Island-the ArmA 2 engine isn't meant to handle melee. If you make ammo rarer, people will just take their time aiming for your head, so they can take your clips. -1 for practicality.
  23. Agreed, too many jerk offs hoarding vehicles and never using them. Seriously, all you need is 3-4 vehicles. Not every single one.
