Yea, I guess. We will see. Looks like there is going to be more loot in standalone and more enterable buildings. So thats similar to a lot of the mods right now. And we will have to see how much servers can be modified, Im sure a good amount will be changeable, and Im sure we will have modded servers for the standalone. So you may be right, I sometimes find it hard to believe we will all be playing the same game, maybe we wont. -

So I found this jeep in the wilderness on a vanilla public server. This is awesome, but looks suspicious to me. Im pretty sure the L85 has been removed from the game. But anyway, a truck with this much shit in it seems hacked. Yes or no? What do you think?

My current survivor actually I'm quite impressed with. SO I started off at kamenka, already this was bad imo. So I went in and couldn't find ANYHTING! just tin cans everywhere. SO I went north to pavlovo, again, too many zombies and I couldn't find anything where I could go. So I kept going north looking for random barns n such, finally found a sidearm, but no food or soda. Ive lost blood from bleeding and now am dying of thirst. I continue north to hit every town and supermarket, and im finding food but no fucking soda, still dying of thirst. I made it all the way to pushtoka or whatever before I found some soda. So now I have a lee, soda and food for a while. I continue north looking for matches at this point because I am probably down to 1 or 2k blood. Blood meter is red. I crawl past NWAF to Grishino where I try to get zombies away from this house for a good 20 min. Normally Id just say fuck it, but I kept at it, I really wanted to check in there, I didn't have many places left to go. So after a while I get the zombies away and get inside TADA!! matches! SO I continued north to petrovka where I find a chopper crash nearby and an ak, fucking POS but lots of ammo so I take it. Then I went hunting, made camp farther west and ate a bunch of beef. Im now well on my way to full health! Now I just need some fucking pain killers and ill be good. Then to NWAF for some shit! -
This would be ok if zombies didn't glitch and didn't make sudden movements as fast as the flash. The amount they warp and jerk around is a fucking joke. Zombies should have been fixed before adding anything as stupid as infection. Maybe it would be ok if they weren't so broken. But I doubt we'll ever know.

Dude, your posts, I swear every one makes me lol. Thank you. And yea, maybe go outside for a bit. But I'm sure you will realize outside isn't much different than dayz. But if you get tired of zombies, go outside for sure :P

Yea, sometimes I find 5, sometimes I find 20. Last year when I started playing there were a lot lot more. But I use "hide unoficial, wrong dayz version, wrong arma 2 version, day only" I just hate night time in this game, its too damn dark. Ive been in the woods where there was no light polution, moon+ stars+ your eyes adjusting makes crap pretty visible. Not pitch black. (unless thy fixed it, havent seen night in a year :P ) Anyway, not many servers with a ping under 100 from me.

Well this is a survival sandbox. You need to set goals for yourself. I usually have fun just orienteering my way around. But set goals like :find food and drink and supplies xy and z then go "this place" to find that. And usually while im searching for stuff ill need to find food or drink and thats when stuff gets nuts, when I need to search through a town of 50 zombies because im starving ect ect then get sniped and start over :P -

This is key. Idk how anyone could play this game if they cared about their character :P I always assumed if I lived that long, id just try to see if I could get a chopper together before getting killed then fly around refueling n shit. -

Ah, I didn't even know about the waypoints, the in game map always just seemed like a less detailed version of the mod db map :P That said I don't even use a compass in this game. I orienteer off land features :D so hardcore. Anyway, if I find a map, ill def use that if available. -

Someone did this last year, player made "safe" zone for trading. Idk if they are still around, but they had snipers for security and the idea I believe was to allow players to trade stuff n shit. -

Im not super familiar with the mods, from what ive seen its mostly other maps or slight changes like no infections or you start with a gun or changes to loot spawns. Im sure a lot of this will be changeable in the server options for the standalone, or maybe they will have some presets to allow for mini hives for certain server setups. Im sure there will be some flexibility. -
They can't just add a log timer, that is stupid. Your body needs to remain in the world, ie if you alt+f4 your still standing there on the server for the duration of the combat timer and people can kill you. Just a suggestion.

I think the purpose of it was to reduce people that would just KoS? yeah? Upping the TTK would probably help. Right now its too easy to die or kill, some people pre empt being killed by killing first, when you die in 2 shots whats the option? kill first or hide. Aside from that the current system isn't bad for what they wanted to accomplish. If able, people will gladly kill bandits on sight, which in turn prevents some people from becoming bandits.
