My mates and I were recently playing on a Namalsk sever this morning and were having a good old time until a certain player joined the game. His IGN was Pastrydude69. My friend witnessed him and his crew ( Austnen, Exileez, SneakySnake, xCEx Colonel, Lacerate, [LORD] Lounacy, & [CSA]Stonewall Jackson ) spawn in the usual medical crate with all different types of backpacks around it, and then they preceeded to spawn in a couple of KA-60 helicopters. After being ambushed out of nowhere ( likely teleporting as well ) observing them spawn stuff in was the icing on the script kiddie cake. In conclusion to the whole shenanigan, they also controlled our characters, and after telling them how pathetic they were, I was told "you need fresh air" in side channel chat and they booted me offline for nearly a minute. My mate managed to FRAPS Pastrydude69 as he sat in his invincible (I put 10 rounds of NATO into it) KA-60 and ate Gauss Rifle rounds to the face as well as more NATO rounds as well. These script kiddies dominated the server with their cheap scripts, and managed to flush everyone out but them and us. Hopefully something can be done about them, I'm not even sure if the whole server isn't one big script fest. This server is a great private hive to play on! I've been with the Bad Company guys for a while and they definitely know how to run a server. With active admins almost always on, helpful advice for new players, and a great community, it's by far my favorite private hive! If you're looking for a true survival experience without 120+ vehicles roaming around, script kiddies, and ludicrous loadouts, then definitely come check the server out!

Hotfix 1.7.2.6 was recently released on September 6, 2012. For one, I didn't even have any idea that another hotfix was going to be released; I thought 1.7.3 was going to be the next update. I went to go look at the changelog on the download mirror page but there isn't anything related to 1.7.2.6. So I ask all of you, what was actually fixed/changed? I saw Rocket's tweet about artifacting being gone, but is it really gone? Considering we were promised the extermination of artifacting in 1.7.2.5, have they actually got it right this time? Does this hotfix break more than it fixes, or is it worth a download?

The cheating problem has destroyed this mod entirely, it's hanging on by a thread. That's why I started to play on private hives like Lingor Island. Hardly any cheaters in private hives.

After the recent nerfing on so many weapons including the Lee Enfield and AK-74, I would have to say the most underrated gun would be the AKM. It still does an insane amount of damage, has zeroing, the ammo is very easy to come by, and overall it's a superior assault rifle. I love it! My thoughts on the Mk 48 Mod: Fuck. Yes. Never had one myself, but I saw a friend of mine absolutely destroy someone with it. :D

OP has a point. After 30 minutes of a skype call with someone the quality takes a shit. TeamSpeak 3 is so much more useful than skype. Skype can actually be so demanding that it can make your game lag. I think he might have offended a few skype fanboys and children with acute technical knowledge, but he's speaking the truth.

If you've seen some of the interviews with Rocket, he stated the Alpha will be somewhere around 15$, but the full retail price will be no more than 30$. Pricing isn't the problem, and won't fix anything, ArmA's engine is the problem, so once the mod grows to a standalone that doesn't use the crap engine, the hacking/scripting problem should be resolved. No matter how much the game is, there will always be cheaters, and an anti-cheat system to thwart them. ;)

I think the player body sinking through the ground is a little cheap and un-realistic, but seeing as that's the only way, that's what we gotta deal with.
