ArmA 2 is why. It's impossible to create a mag in ArmA 2 that isn't full. Every time you log in everything on your char that was saved get's loaded and when it comes to a mag all it looks for is it's presence. -

If you know the trick you can find the exact spots where tents fit. Only problem with the tactic is it can cause some errors. Like duping for one. -
Who sprints down stairs in real life any way? Walk down stairs and you will avoid 90% of all problems with them.

If you read the description in game for the Jerry can you will see that player controlled power sources are at least planed. Rocket has also said that with power comes functionality return in the map with the specifics stated being fuel pumps working again. I would love to be apart of a group who get a power plant functioning again. Name ourselves the Chernarous Electric Company and fortify the power plant. Pay your dues for each city you want power in and we'll hook you up. -
There is also the Invasion 44 mod for ArmA 2 that is the western front as well.

No, just no. The main reason to not use Takistan is because there is almost 0 variation on the terrain. Climb this barren hill and I can see a flat empty plain and 2 more flat empty hills. There are trees and there are areas with cover but they are so few and far between that you will be spending the majority of the time sprinting in the open. Also sniping at 2K isn't impossible and with enough players with scoped weapons set up entire areas of the map would be death traps.

The ArmA 2 engine does cover eye adapting. Stare at the sun then look away, you will not be able to make out detail for several seconds. Also all you thinking that it's DayZ making the nights so dark are only the iteybityiest right. The only thing this mod did was turn of all the street lights and house lights because there is no power now. All of you that think it's to dark and not realistic probably do live to close to a town with any number of street lights (Light pollution anyone?). TL DR: Not the mods fault you can't see, nothing they can do or probably want to do about it. But there is an honest problem with most peoples settings being to dark and you do need to turn it up. -
Solo Blood Transfusions (syringe or IV)

I walk into a super market and eat everything and get 1K+ blood. I don't have a problem with the current blood transfusion take another person as long as it continues to restore all the blood. I would like to see each blood pack restore a set amount. I would also like to see them take blood from the applier then too (say a 3:1 ratio). Make it an actual in field transfusion. -
I was just playing and my temp went up while I was indoors and down while out side. But with the hotfix I hope that the rise and drop won't be as noticeable as it was.

I for one am loving all the people not being able to eat or heal them selves because they blindly downloaded the patch or are just terrible at following instructions. Not being sarcastic I find their tears so fun to listen to.

I'm sorry but there's not much that the DayZ dev team can do to "fix" nights. Go and mess around in the editor and see what it's like in normal Arma at night, sure ain't any brighter or easier to see. Either wait for the moon (which is bright as hell) or switch servers and let people who can handle the dark play. The very first thing that made me love Arma 2 when it came out was when I first hit N and saw how good of a lighting system they actually have in the game.

Also helps to know what buildings are enter-able (aka loot-able in DayZ) or have a over hang/covering (where loot is found as well) on the normal map map so you know from looking at a town what houses and buildings you will be trying to enter and others to just ignore. Also don't try and fly a helicopter with out practicing. I can do various tricks and maneuvers cause I used to mainly do transport heli pilot duty when Arma2 came out.

My guess would be it does the exact same thing it does in normal Arma2 servers: it changes the amount of information available to the player (3rd person, cross hair, map marker of peoples location ect.)
