i've had my fair share of those i usually end up dead though most likely intertwined in with hackers making weapons an easy to come by probably just screwing with you to see how you'd react good call by exiting the server after that probably would have came back for another round and ended you

i agree with Mammo get small arms from outside sources then approach the cities from the woodline i would suggest a pistol as back up and hatcet out for one reason which ill later state. be aware that when your heading towards the cities from the woodline is when your most exposed after the woodline is all open fields until you hit buildings making it hard to find cover this will be the true test i usually approach full sprint with the serpintine motion then enter the nearest building in the woodline forcing any following zombies to funnel in the door way kill them quietly with the hatchet then switch to pistol to comb the city while crouch running stick to the coast side of buildings while going through the cities as most snipers on the hill cannot see the far sides gives you suprise advantage when moving building to building in the end a good sniper wont let you make it all the way to the city and if he followed you with his reticle he will want to hit you when you move between buildings.

Yea his actual in game name is The Man From The Woods i just like how he is strictly buisness pro survivor he told me he once had to kill a bandit in game for the sake of saving other survivors so he snuck up on him with a hatchet and removed the problem after while the bandit was unloadiing on survivors on the ground level after the man was killed he removed his inventory searched for him along the coast until he found him then returned all his items to him. he is a beast with a moral compass

and p.s. after a closer look he is definately chuck norris

I found The Man From The Woods last night around 0300 hours western near Novy Sobor he was rescuing a player named Tyler as I approached them a hacker in soldiers clothing teleported onto the two to of them while The Man From The Woods was helping.The Man From The woods attempted to verbally diffuse the situation and inform the hacker they were unarmed and only searching for supplies. Hacker with clan tag proceeded to unload rounds instantly killing tyler and wounding The Man From The Woods as he escaped around the back side of the building. The hacker then teleported away to continue these actions on all other players in a 35 pop server until 5ppl were left from not aborting. i followed The Man as he evaded into the forest to heal his wounds and spoke with him after all was said and done in the incident. The Man From the Woods simply replied Like us he to has to survive his means may be different but thats something were aware of in this world. We cant waste anymore time we have to find Tyler and help him he is now alone on the coast and that takes priority start running. The Man From The Woods gave me his info Steam account and he said any medics that wish to join his cause are welcome message me for his info he further stated he will post a youtube video in the next week to help players on their path to becoming more efficient in (CSAR) missions. I owe this man and i support his cause

Thank you for sharing haybaleharry i know it isnt easy admitting when you bit off more than you can chew in this game... I to have a similar story many moons ago I was at the Balota airfield I knew i needed a weapon but the airfield was dark and littered with Z's not know ing if i would bump into one on accident i decided to run full stride into the airfield and conduct a sweep. i became overwhelmed as i was knocked down by z's in the dark i began to see the white light when out of the shadows i heard a deep voice call to me scared and lonley i feared it was my demise.... the voice called again to me don't be afraid i'll be able to get you out of here just hold on.... sparks flashed as small arms fire erupted in the hanger Z after Z dropping like flies i was almost dead when i was abruplty dragged out of the hangar and into the forest i rember saying its to late save yourself bu this man showed only courage as he embraced me a second time to drag me saying trust me i'm getting out of here... i awoke to be healed in the trees looking at the stars i asked his name he simply replied The MAN From The Woods in a soft tone he brought me back to life and gave me his loot I called for him again but he had disappeared into the trees....

On another note I reparied a rhinoceros in the forest above Cherno as I rode him through the sunset admiring the landscape and drinking mountain dew off his back I heard what sounded like snapping noises coming from behind me i could not help but to press alt to look at what it could be... nothing just grass i thought when i turned to view forward there was a pack of wild caiman crocodilus staring me down..unaware of how caiman's hunt in packs i decided to make a run for it with sherman my rhinoceros i broke free of the caimans v-formation and was able to head north and escape the axis of evil. i thirsty as did sherman so we approached the dam in hopes to wet our whisltes at the local watering hole. But today seemed different then before there were no Z's around i filled my military issue canteen and allowed sherman to have a cool drink when i heard the snap noise in the distance.. at this point i knew they were back to finish the job sherman spooked and began to run up the hill i chased him calling out his name when the caiman's came from the forest and murdered him i wept and tried to save him to no avail... now rhinoless and heart broken i forced myself into submisson and allowed the caimans to consume me as i would see sherman again on the other side.... once a rhinoceros friend always a rhinoceros friend RIP sherman van grey skin 08-22-2012 you will be missed .....

i tried to research The Man From The Woods on wikipedia no trace.......A picture of green mountain and grid coordinates was all that came up along with an advertisement for chuck norris' delta force 2 i must find this man again......

when i looked in his backpack for supplies all i saw was karate medals and black belts

i found if your in a server and say his name on direct communication 3 times when your in trouble he appears from the woods

its chuck norris ghost in game his words he used to calm me were Have you ever seen chuck norris play a villain he's not starting now

i found him on us 2500 dallas living by a campfire tonight above cherno he welcomed me with open arms sitting at the campfire he was bbq steaks and told me to eat some food i looked hungry then carried on his way north

Try using a simple item out of your inventory before leaving the server i.e. drink a soda then exit and restart

I've done it all every F******* fix I can think of. From re-installing Arma OA and Dayz to running six updater, Dayz commander, going into my directory and manually updating battleye, manually going into steam and updating to v95417 after it was not doing it itself yet still I join a server and at the menu to press (ok) and begin creating a character it sends me out with the post (you have been kicked from game). My arma2 and OA are both on steam the only solution i have at this point is to pretend dayz doesnt exist and watch re-run tv shows after weeks of going balls deep in this game please help if you have the same issue and found a resolution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
