The server I regularly play at suddenly stopped spawning zombies and loot. Me and a friend were driving an ATV and the Yellow hatchback when it started happening. notice the 0 number next to zombies. the server had 25+ players at that time.

I just hope that scripters that are good enough to create these hacks will start to realise that the scripts they post online freely end up kicking them in the nuts as there are always 12 year olds that will be stupid enough to nuke 20 servers in a row and piss off the company behind the game. this was a blow to their community but i'm afraid this will come back in force.

Friendly survivor system (hard-coded 'friendliness')

As a bandit you just keep getting positively reinforced for shooting others because you get loot from them and the satisfaction that you survived. Survivors don't get anything for not shooting another. In order to give the player two choices you need to make it so that a positive rewards is attached for not shooting others; hence, positive humanity. I suggested something like a better % in chance of finding good loot or something similar. if you have low humanity this percentage drops, making it less likely that you will find good stuff. it's just an example, you can change it to your liking. -

NO but open to an idea in this manner. bandit has its own perks vs non bandit. As of now, bandits get their reward through loot. Survivors don't get anything from not shooting other players. How about survivors get a higher % in chance of finding something valuable? This way being a non-bandit gives you a positive reward too, which bandits miss out on. -

To counter the "nay" voters who say spawnkillers will reign: Add spawn protection to prevent spawnkilling, maybe for a minute or so (against other players, not against zombies). As other respawned players don't have a weapon either this would only counter spawnkillers and give newly spawned players a chance. -

YES I would like to see how this turns out, just to try it out. eliminates beanwars from the start, people will be more careful at the starting point. I can't imagine the adrenaline of encountering/agro zombies after fresh spawn and getting away from them succesfully. Adds immersion and another level of intensity in the game. If you see another player you will be more weary of the encounter instead of immediate stalk mode engaged. -

top 3 bugs: 1 crossbow problems: crosshair, triple visibility during reloading while prone, disappearing bolts. 2 unable to strafe through doors (collision problem) 3 getting up automatically when you crawl out of a building (gets you detected unintentionally) top 3 features 1 seeing remaining slots in tents and vehicles 2 prevent people from suicide after respawning in order to get a better spawn position 3 vehicles automatically switch on lights at night, this can compromise your position. i would prefer to switch them on manually. -
damn, exploding with anticipation here. Can't wait to see how the new zed animations will be, and the sounds :D lol I feel like a 15 year old girl on the way to the mall.

found a truck, and in the gear it had a bazooka. is this a standard DayZ weapon or was it hacked? I've started to think the latter because I didn't see the weapon ever in any lists. it did have an icon though. Strange shit. no picture yet, i'll try to take one later.

there's a trick to it. Just look at the ground before you open your gear. then click and after that right click your tent, select pitch tent. The error will appear. Hold shift and go forward, preferably crouched, in small steps while clicking the pitch tent button. Go forward in small steps, and sideways too. When you see the tent disappear stop moving immediately and watch your character start the tent pitching animation. important: click "close" on your gear menu so your inventory window closes. notes: no tents in woods, the game won't let you. Try rolling in the grass before pitching the tent. flat surfaces. Try to find "bald" spots in the grass and point your crosshair there before beginning. good luck

This is quite an accomplishment really. Good going for the Arma team and DayZ in general. I hope this gives BIS a decent boost because they deserve it!

indeed, I have noticed that. However it doesn't always work. I sometimes end up going back and forth towards the zombie until I get the message on screen again lol. -

I don't think regeneration should be in this game. it would eliminate the need to go for food and people would get reckless. Please don't look for casual game mechanics in DayZ.

in one word: NO the walking inside is needed as a catalyst for the massive numbers of zeds and their speed outside. Without the walking the mod would be alot less intense.
