just tried, entered two servers without problems, have noticed loading has improved drastically. Ingame fps is very nice. I don't have any sound ingame though. When entering the audio menu and altering the sound volume I hear the normal "cannot fire" sentence, but no sound ingame.

Title says it all. I have a vehicle that needs fuel tank parts and I have been scavenging every lootspot immaginable for gas tank parts that should spawn them. I have 2 engine parts, 3 scrap metal, several windshields, 10 jerry cans, and 6 wheels. But, not a single fuel tank parts! did any of you encounter them? I've even found several heli parts which I don't need since they aren't enabled on the servers right now. I'ld like to get my vehicle up and running so I can get to people in need of my services faster.

ways of breaking a window of hospital: axe : 1 hit bullets: shoot 3 different windows with 1 bullet. you can empty an entire clip into one window without breaking it. Hit 3 separate ones and they will all break. glass bottle: throw at glass (not confirmed by me though, I have always had an axe since reading about that one) Have made alot of trips to hospitals already, talking out of experience.

I had the same problem after installing patch 1.7.2 just after release and then applying beta 700 on that. I deleted the addons folder in the @dayz folder in arma2 operation arrowhead folder. I reinstalled through sixlauncher by selecting the server I wanted to join and pressing "update" on the left. Logged in, and had sound again.

I wanted to ask a question to my fellow medics out there. If you get a medic request from someone that has disconnected during a fight, would you go and rescue them? I disapprove of disconnecters so I decided not to help any of the people that end up injured because respawning got them in trouble (unconcious, bleeding). I generally do my thing. Actually, before trying to get a medical character going, I made sure I had a small tent camp (two tents, one is also cool) set up on a server somewhere. I then raided berezino hospital two times so I had a decent amount of bloodbags, epi pens, morphine and bandages. People will most likely need blood and/or morphine, but the odd case comes by from time to time where someone would be uncouncious and bleeding to death. How they ended up in that situation is not my concern. I generally make it a rule that I add them to skype or get them to join TS. If the trip is long, I cook up some meat and only take my map when I take off. This allows me to gather my stuff quickly again if someone would shoot me. I have been lucky though, only died once and it was kind of my own fault.

I think I have a compass to spare, no problem. I don't carry any weapons since I can fill up the handgun slot with bandages, but if I find one on my travel towards you i'll give it to you. I don't have a tent in my posession at the moment, but if I find one you can have it. Thanks for helping.

didn't have any problems with this. I did not however pack up my tent to duplicate it and then set it up a second time somewhere else. if you do this, thén you'll get disappearing tents.

I'ld say, learn to sneak. If you see another player and you don't have a weapon or he is too far off, avoid him. Try to avoid contact. If necessary, use direct chat to talk to him, but never drop your guard. Alot of players are dicks, but there are others that don't shoot on sight too. As a medic, I don't take a weapon with me, only an axe which I use to defend myself against zombies. Not having a weapon saved my life alot especially on the coast line. If you don't pose a threat to other players you will often not get shot as they won't bother.

sometimes you need to leave your inventory window open and spam the pitch tent options while moving a little forward or sideways. Tents tend to be a little problematic sometimes. Best way to go is on flat grassy areas.

I recently looted cherno hospital on my own, another player saw me and called out 'are you friendly'. I replied I needed the gear to help another player since I played medic, and he didn't fire. Happened several times before already, outside berezino too.

hands down thé best introduction video to DayZ. This should be on the front page if you ask me.

this is the reason why i will not carry a weapon when I'm heading over to someone I want to help. before you know it you are aiming at them even if you don't intend to shoot.

Vhile I need some time to gather food und drinks for my own during ze day, I will still be available to help others from 7pm until 11pm GMT+1, mostly on European und perhaps auch on American servers. I travel on foot, und with only an axe to fend of ze pesky Zeds who manage to sneak up on me from time to time. I don't believe in shooting ze other people in Chernarus, but help them instead! Neat! I am really looking forward to this update though. I got killed by two different debug forest killers this week, first I lost a camouflaged svd and guillie suit, then later on nvg's and m16 cco sd (or whatever) in the process. Also had full gear on that last character with normal camouflage :( Really felt shocked when I saw the 'you're dead' screen with 11400 blood still on the counter after I fell down while running around in the woods by myself.
