I find it odd that this wasn't suggested yet. How about audio that actually supports/emphasises the situation you're in, instead of just the looping background audio? If you're just running through the woods there would be little to no excitement, but as soon as you encounter zeds and you start crouchwalking you hear some kind of suspense music to add to the atmosphere. then when you get hit by zeds or you fire your gun/get shot at, some kind of action music to add tension to what is happening.

I'm surprised that I didn't see this proposed yet. But what about an explosive device you can manufacture and carry in your gear to hurt someone that shoots you and tries to loot your body.

I was on DE 961 repairing and atv when i was suddenly shot from behind with rapid fire. As there were only 4 people on the server present at the time i suspected some fishy stuff to be going on. When i spawned on the beach I had the hourglass icon for some reason, and while i was waiting i saw someone with a bandit scarf spawn in front of me, carrying an M249. Seconds later I heard an atv. When the hourglass was gone, I saw all the gear i was carrying plus the atv sitting next to me on the beach. A bit further I saw someone in a guillie with an M249 sitting and I ran up to him, as I knew it was the scripter watching if I would go for the offer. I asked him why he did it and he replied. This is his nickname: I then ran over to the pile of gear to screenshot that too. The time I took these was 4:15 pm - 4:20 pm gmt+1. As of now, because of this person, I will no longer play under the nickname Fritz ze Friendly Doctor when I'm not saving someone.

The guy in the scarf and the guillie suit guy are the same person. He changed skins after he teleported to my location. Also, he had the same weapon (m249) in his hands. That was a dead givaway.

imho it's related to the 95883 beta. only join servers that run this beta and you'll be fine. if you try to join a server that has a previous beta running you'll be stuck on loading, have to alt F4 and you'll end up on the coast if you manage to log into a 95883 eventually.

I have this problem too. Running beta 95883. disconnected in the north, after installing the latest beta I tried to join several servers and was left hanging on loading. alt+f4'd. Third time i find a 95883 beta server just to be sure it was perhaps not this what was causing the problem. Logged in succesfully, had my full gear still with me, but at the coast in komarovo for some reason. I'm also wearing a guillie suit.

I see the list grow, which is awesome. Can't wait to see heli's fly over. The first post gives a Tuesday in the past as a release date though. Kind of thinking it should be 31st of July instead? Keep up the good work Rocket.

Hey Denkart! Ze vehicle I destoyed can be found at its spawning location 016 (top grid) - 075 (left grid) north west of Myshkino near a barn. It needs alot of parts to fix though :)

A little back story: During my previous life I had ended up dead while going towards a white truck spawn. I noticed people were there as I heard someone repairing a part of the truck as I came closer. I approached and then tried to contact them over direct chat while under a pine tree for about 2 minutes, then got shot in the face by one of them. They never said a word and I was unarmed, of which I also informed them. Later, I got shot by another player at my tent camp, got my shit and ATV stolen. I was, again, unarmed. So I decided not to go unarmed ever again even thgough I play as a medic, although I would not just shoot to kill unless I was in reasonable danger. Faith had it, that after respawning I was wandering through the bushes up north and I encountered the white truck, owned by the guy that previously murdered me. As I lay in ambush, a guy in guillie passed by and I shot him. I have to admit, even though I don't condone violence (I'm a medical player) that this guy deserved it. Justice was served. This is how I ended up with the gear I have now and the one murder on the counter in the video. And even though I cried before that I don't shoot others, I couldn't take the chance. I'm sorry I did what I did, but I remember friends having a massive shootout with the players of his 'rescue' group on the server I regularly play and I am sure he would have taken care of me had I not done what I did.

I would, but I already have a very decent group of players that I can rely on. I mainly play lone wolf on my rescue missions, but if I get in trouble they are always there to back me up. They have a decent amount of weapons and gear and such.

This game makes you regret the decisions you make either way, it's so intense! On the other hand I'm still not sure if this [rescue team] group is actually playing as medical like me or not. Their tents hardly had any medical gear and a buttload of weapons.. They also seem to be shooting alot and dieing alot on the server I play on.

Ok I kinda feel stupid now. Yesterday I realised that I had been playing with a ramdisk and had my beta shortcut point to that disk for the @dayz folder. Since the updater updates only the files in the install dir, it never wrote the new dayz files to the ramdisk folder I had been using.. So in the end, if you don't have sound ingame, it's merely because you are running a different version of the game compared to the server you have joined. Try to look at the server's name, it tells you which version of dayz its running most of the time. If you use ramdisk and six launcher, be aware that six launcher doesn't update the files in your ramdisk folder.

ok great. Installing this made my game load without sounds each time. When trying to revert I apparently broke my game and I get a BEclient.dll crash each time I try to join a server. So just a word of warning, installing this might break your game.

update. when I try to revert to the previous patch my game crashen when entering a server.
