Yeah also, quit cheating play on one server make it your home server and play the game. Don't jump around servers for low population and loot the barracks.

Yeah the OP stated no original ideas this isn't even a suggestion thread. The game is not broken at all, try hooking up your mike and using direct chat. Me and my roommate drove 1 of our cars to the coast to try and lose it/have an adventure and I met 8 different friendly people who didn't shoot me once we talked to each other. The human element is what makes this game amazing. Go watch some you tube videos there is just basic mechanics in this game and every great youtube video is all about the HUMAN element and what people are thinking of with the mechanics they are given. Here's my video we used tank traps as a TRAP instead of blocking off buildings, there is co-op here and PVP so be warned its going to blow your freakin mind

Strife you wouldn't believe how much upload speed affects gameplay. He has better system specs then I do and yet i'm pulling 60-70 more fps? Also BL1P thats an insane connection do you host? Also nothing of that sort is available where I am we've got as good as we can get lol

I can remember the first day I played Dayz and the zombies for me all spawned halfway through the ground, and walked around only waste high and moved really slow so I said that in side chat the only response I got was "Lucky you" hahaha

Happened to us a few times stopped our vehicles to fill up, a bus UAZ and a red car then the server reset and poof they were all gone. Have to wait for a hard reset or something then they appear.

If i quit everytime I got sniped I would have quit like 40+ times already. The best part is you went there and are surprised someone shoots at you. I head there knowing that I'll either shoot someone or get shot or both. If your with a group why don't you have one guy watching the perimeter? Also you parked your vehicle away from the NWAF so I would assume its still there

Me and my roommates have 7 vehicles so we decided to try and lose one at the NW airfield we drove around for 10 minutes and nothing exciting happened so we drove through cherno then stary and the northeast airfield and nobody shot at us, there were 40 people online also. Seriously lol

That one building you have seen with the link, there's like a little "car port" and military loot spawns underneath that, it usually spawns underneath the ground and can be found by mousewheeling over the ground.

You shoot the first zombie that you encounter when entering the NWAF and you know what your doing lol? You got sniped plain and simple the shot was so far away your buddy didn't even hear the gunshot.

post a screenshot of your ingame settings because your system should run this game no problem. Or if you have the ability do a fresh install of windows and arma 2. I do that every 6 months or so to keep my computer fast

Live in a hard to reach area? I just uploaded my speed test for you to see. All your online gaming will suffer but its not your hardware at all so you don't need to do fancy ramdisk things like that. Also you've never heard of your internet affecting your FPS? Your computer has to access the server for you to connect and to play multiplayer and your computer has to do calculations on signals being received so online gaming FPS is heavily dependant on connection. Also your SSD will not help your FPS much at all, it'll mainly help your load times like loading the map in game, loading single player that kind of thing. It just has like double the transfer the rates of HDD that's what the big difference is between the two.

Yeah sounds like incorrect beta patch. Just google arma 2 beta patch install instructions (its pretty simple) Also make sure you have all your command prompts written correctly. On the right hand of your main screen when you fire up arma 2 does it say @dayz on the righthand side? If those steps don't work reinstall the dayz files sometimes they can be corrupted (happened to my roommate)
