Yeah people can't drive them out of the water so check the coast from one end of a map to the other you HAVE to find a boat then unless there all on an island

I think you just got trolled hard dude, my camp is literally on the EDGE of the map like the wheels of my vehicles are pretty much on the edge of the map, the edge of the map is where the long grass stops growing and its just one texture with no depth of grass on it that is the edge of the map. So your vehicles did not despawn by the "offmap" timer or what not. I think someone screwed with you, and personally when I stumble upon a camp and tent I may glance in the tent before I steal the car but if it was just an M14 AIM I would leave that crap behind, but that's just me I don't consider it rare. Here's an example of crazy situations. Found a VS3 and a white car and went and parked them near pambena dam and logged off for the night logged in and they were gone, so I started heading west where I stumbled upon the VS3 a blue Ural our white car and a UAZ. I woke up the roommates and we robbed the VS3 the Ural and the UAZ and went and made a new camp we then headed back to get our faithful white car and it was gone, we then started heading towards the NW airfield and stumbled upon a white offroad truck. So thats how crazy this game can be lol

where did you find the VS3 spawn point? been looking everywhere The VS3 can hold 200 items 50 weapons and 10 backpacks the weapons do count as there own slot not as an item

yeah to fill the jerry cans up just go to the middle of a "fuel tank" and mousewheel over it and hit fill jerrycan

Depends on where you are, if its cherno or electro don't do it but if your in some far off place go ahead that's what I usually do. ATV's are gas hungry so start stocking up on jerry cans so you don't need to stop as often

those boxes are spawned in by hackers lol

go into your arma 2 and arma 2 OA config files. Scroll down till you see FXAA turn that up to like 4 or 5 and then start up dayz and go into your video options and turn of Anti Aliasing.

errrr, that is the case with most games and its why ping exists. It measures your distance from the server the farther away you are (higher ping) the longer the signals take to bounce back and forth. Most games you don't notice but things like ARMA which runs crappy to begin with it makes a difference. If anyone is familiar with DOTA ping makes such a huge difference in gameplay.

A grenade and driving over tents just flattens the tent and then they reappear fully set up with all of there items gone. I found that out because I parked an ATV close to one of our tents and it vibrated down the hill and flattened it lol Lets just say i'm not allowed to park vehicles anymore

Well whenever I've raided tents and camps for example whatever new items were getting we always put it in a "safe" tent or vehicle and its always there on server reset/next time we log in. Are you guys looting sweet stuff and throwing it in your "unproven" tent? Maybe when the items are dissapearing from those unsafe tents its actually going back to its last save point?

You crazy kids and your tents. 1. If you place a tent and then pack it up after the next reset there will be a tent exactly where you "packed" it up. It will never ever go away. You can just keep packing tents and setting it up and after each reset the tents will be back. 2. Always test the tent with 1 item. Several other people have said this to be true. If you read the patch notes Rocket himself says there is a %50 chance a tent will make it through a server save. That's where the testing with 1 item thing comes along 3. Why do people think admins have all these special powers? Literally the most they can do is restart the server which will put the time back maybe 5 minutes but most of the time doesn't. The only thing an admin could really do to fuck you over is to see you driving his car and reset the server and the car will go back to the last place that either you got out or was saved too. So when your stealing someones vehicle drive like 5 minutes away and jump out and save it and there is nothing he can do then.

There's a trick to tents. Sent one up and put only one item in it. Keep checking the tent after a server reset. If that one item made it through the server save that tent is now "safe" and will always save items every reset. Sometimes it can take like 3 resets where you lose the 1 item but keep trying and it will eventually work.

Yeah there is a rubber dingy boat called the PBX that does 70km/h on the water. We keep the one on our server for exactly that reason to pick up fallen buddies. But it is also fun to drive around the coast playing the Love Boat theme song on direct chat

Hey People, I play Dayz with 3 of my roommates so there's 4 of us playing this game currently, we've pretty much done everything driven every vehicle, know where quite a few vehicle spawns that aren't on the map etc. etc. So were looking for another 4 person group to go to "war" with nothing extremely competitive but someone to be actively searching for our base and for us to be constantly looking for yours. We could probably throw down a few rules like no alt+f4ing, all camps and bases need to be on the map (which it should be already). Our groups should definitely have a signature for example if we hit each others base we take every vehicle except the crappiest one and leave a piece of cooked meat in every tent so that we know it was each others group who raided our base. I mean really this way we would be killing other organized people, take hostages for sweet sweet ransom and all kind of other things. Anyone?

Can't believe you didn't get him lol! But clearly a case of desync and ATV. Check out this video, we found this ATV on a bridge on its side because of that bridge glitch so we rammed it to safety with the offroad.

There is no way choppers are enabled on new servers I can guarantee that. I play the same server every day, I have had like 15 different vehicles on that server been to every spawn, raided more camps then I can tell you and I have never seen a helicopter. I could be proved wrong but I'm sure I would have seen one, or at the very least one of them flying.

There is several other threads about this, also this definetly looks like a bug you should look in that section. But I'll save you some time, when you pick up a L85 your character doesn't save when you log off.
