You can get trapped in a building by 30 zombies with a hatchet you'll probably die lol. It is brilliant, thats what makes this game great. I bet you were surprised though haha

angrybrute Like I said I find it funny this should happen to you because I get extremely frustrated when I get shot at by someone, get the upper hand then they disconnect that being said i'm going to help you. When you spawn out in those endless fields your waaay out to the northwest so run southeast it'll take a couple hours probably but if you say you keep spawning out there you'll have a few lives to do it. Also try this log in hit respawn so your character is dead. Now reinstall the beta and the dayz files (use the torrent it comes complete and its noob friendly) Make sure you log into a server with 1.7.1.5 like colorado 3 that someone suggested I know my server is 1.7.1.5 but I don't want a dc/er like you playing there good day!

Start building a camp and stocking up on basic supplies so when you eventually die you might have something to go back to. What guns do you have? I'm sure you can get better :P Do you have NVG a rangefinder or GPS?

I would also sugges getting an i5 instead of an AMD processor. The fact is there just better, in ever way look up the benchmarks etc. Arma 2 is heavily dependant on your CPU (poor resource management). For examply had my i5 at 3.8ghz and OCed it up to 4.4ghz and got 10FPS more on every server I joined. Overclocking my video card (GTX 680) didn't give me anywhere near those results.

Hatchets are spawning with an increased rate i'm sure of it, i've literally walked into industrial buildings and seen 4 on the ground. That being said LEARN which buildings are worth crawling too run outside of town to the next good building rather then crawling through the entire town (I know its craziness to use some strategy but try it). Sometimes you can even see the hatchet/gun in the building before you have to get close. And i'm sorry, but when I spawn and you know get sneaked up on or shot by someone i'm like damn that guy EARNED his gun and killed me. He just didn't hit the enter key and start with it.

I have your same feeling man. I just got in a heated argument in a livestream chat. A dude disconnected to avoid dieing from a zombie hord he aggroed on his own damn fault (wasn't the streamer some random he joined up with) and some guy in the chat said that since rocket hasn't fixed it there's no reason you shouldn't use it. And its not cheating its using an exploit. That's what he said to me lol. Like people actually think its legit to use these bugs and exploits like rolling back your version to get a gun. Oh crap meant to post this, and spawning without a gun really isn't that hard lol.

I was watching Zealots livestream and got in an argument with another viewer. One of the guys zealot was playing with lured a zombie hord on himself broke his leg then disconnected to avoid dieing. And i was like that guy is cheating, and the person in chat was like thats not cheating rocket hasn't fixed that bug yet so theres no reason not to use it. Like people actually think its okay/part of the game its insane.

Great post glad you are continuing playing! I was really tired of the quitting threads as if people think there that important. I enjoy the difficulty I say rocket bring it on.

The car is slow as crap through fields etc, but decent on roads. The atv i've heard is a deathtrap if you roll it you die lol I know the motorbike you can have a passenger so mousewheel over the atv and see if you can sit in passenger position or something along those lines. Also take into account which one needs more parts etc. Try for both!

At the OP, i'm not sure what game your expecting the point of it is to be hard and the idea of permadeath is what makes it great. Yes you lost your character to a bug, but who knows maybe 10 minutes later if you would have spawned in you would have been right next to someone and been shot instantly and you still would have lost all your stuff. Thats the point. Also you said something along the lines of spawning with a full kit of gear go play arma 2 then? Seriously i live in canada and i couldn't tell you the first place to actually find a hand gun, so spawning without one seems reasonable to me

Dude, you guys are throwing down some legit ideas. I like the one having a really hard place to get to that requires a group. How about a barracks or one of the castles but put 200 zombies around it? You would need a group. The walkie talkie idea is sweet as well as the cb radio giving you like a broadband general chat. So you could get yourself a CB and be like breaker breaker one nine looking for friendlies in cherno haha.

Easily one of the most high tension places on the map. Play it safe, remember your in no hurry to run in and get that loot scope it out, see if you see any movement. The biggest concern is the server hoppers so when you do get into the barracks/air control tower or fire station be mindful that someone can spawn in behind you at any time.

Jumped razor many,many times and sandbags with no problem i imagine you can break your leg doing it but i haven't. Sandbags on flat ground CAN be stepped over please learn the controls of this game before you make threads about how you can't get around objects. Wait till you whiners get to the NW airbase and your trying to step over that stupid bench lol Oh wait i'll know when you make it there because you'll make a thread about it "The NW airbase would be sweet if...."

Go copy pasta your own game then and go play it haha Found a helicopter last night there was a 50 Cal sniper (can't remember the name) with 5 bullets bison sd (don't know what it is lol) with 2 clips FN FAL with no ammo really cool guns but in the big picture useless because of the limited ammo so to be honest you haven't missed out on much just try looking harder! and heres a protip look REALLY good around the helicopter to find your rewards, i think thats half of peoples problem is there not looking hard enough around the helicopter i'm not going to say exactly where because you guys need to figure out some things yourself

Seriously these threads need to stop, you died because of a bug so you need to report it in the troubleshooting forums or bug reports not crying here in general chat. Same thing happened to me and i guarantee I had better gear then you. and i like how you say wtf rocket. The guy put out 4 patches in a couple days so we could still play this game! have some respect or go play something else

Seriously whats with all these quitting threads? This game doesn't owe you anything I know you probably just died but thats what makes this game good. I installed 1.7.1.4 and spawned in that giant field thing and lost my set of gear, i didn't have NVG never had those yet lol. But everything else so i know how tough it is to start without a weapon but it is fun and its nice to know when someone comes and shoots me they EARNED that gun and just didn't spawn with it lol.

1. Never played any arma/arma 2. The enviroment is awesome the grass blowing,draw distances the utter size of the map. Birds singing in the background gunshots in the distance just a great sense of scale. 2. Pvp,pvp,pvp,pvp Seriously you get some decent stuff and someone starts shooting at you bullets ricochet off of stuff its epic. Me and my roommates play dayz in the same room together and we still routinely scare each other with close shots to save each others life or just coming around a corner lol! 3. Mortality and losing all your stuff its sweet especially without the weapon at spawn such drastic change one mistake and all of a sudden you wake up on the coast with no freakin gun, but off to the next building gotta survive right? 4. The constant change, now the hatchet is a weapon and it disappeared from my inventory and me and the roomies just went hey, we gotta go find some wood and headed out, just right there the game was different then the day before 5. The stories this game creates which are entirely people driven, no quest or anything leading up. For example i was playing this game for maybe 20 minutes (about 2 months ago) and got near a guy on the beach and he started firing at me so i did some sweet zig zags and shot him a couple times but we lured an entire town on us with the gunfire, we then teamed up to kill all the zombies and patched ourselves up and then had an alliance lol.

Yeah seriously people stop with these complaining threads. This is a free mod you didn't have to pay for Dayz you paid for Arma 2 which is unrelated i know hard to believe. The zombies are epic, I'm a promoter of them getting harder so you have to team up with someone just to survive a few extra minutes. And rocket has released 4 patches in like 2-3 days lol give the guy a freakin break. Is there anybody else that reads the patchnotes and just get excited for the new mechanics he always trys to bring? I know the game is hard people, thats the point
