^^ Title. How does one lower their gun without having to drop it/ put into backpack.

So, I've had a map for a while and whenever I open it up, it's just a map. However, on some servers I can see myself on the map as a blue dot. Is this a server thing or is it buggy? Also, how does marking the map work in relation to other people's maps?

I don't mind the graphical issues AS MUCH as others. If anything I'll just sprint through NWAF graphical glitch and all. If I can't see 5 feet infront of me, neither can others (hopefully). It's worked out so far.

I'm on day 4 I believe and here's what I do. I tend to spawn west of Kamenka so what I do is GTFO. I head north into the hills the hit up the deer stands (sneaking is what keeps you alive). Then I head east and hit up the barns for some potential weapons and hatchets. Try to hit all the barns and deer stands on your way to NWAF. Get into NWAF, hit up the barracks and maybe the hangers and then run like the wind. Once you're geared up with some decent weapons, head to Stary Sobor and loot the supermarket and school across the street. From there, you should have a hatchet from the barns, a hunting knife from misc residential areas if you've also looted small towns on your way north, and a box of matches from the supermarket or large residential areas. Head East (what I'm currently doing) and live off the land.

Harvesting works best with pine trees. Shuffle over to a forest and get wood from there. Also, you can right click the axe and send it back into your tool belt once you get a gun.

Look around the edges of open fields. Deer stands usually boarder the edge of the forest. Also, if you see military zombies walking around, it's highly probably you're almost on top of a deer stand... or a heli crash.

200 zombie kills and it's your first murder? My first murder was at 4 and my second at 16. :P My story goes that I was in the Elektro fire station, top floor. I logged out and then came back an hour later on a different server. I come downstairs and there's a guy camping behind all these sandbags and barbed wire with an M1014. So, since I climbed down the stairs behind him I unloaded my AK-74 Kobra into his back. He didn't have any good loot. :(

Title. Post a fail of yours that was either today or recently. Today I figured out where my three canteens and four steaks went...my backpack ate them.

There is a known hack that hackers can use to spawn NPC allies with m4s. Maybe it was that?

I'd say that bandits are the people who are on a mission to kill others and take their stuff. Survivors are the people who kill when they feel threatened or in self defense.

A hacker that gave everyone beans? Well, all hackers can't be bad.

I wish there was a "give Mountain Dew" button right next to the beans. This is good info. I've never run across a hacker yet in my many (Three) days of playing but now I know that they're susceptible to headshots. I hope you don't get banned for posting this...

I too have an xbox controller for windows... but I won't use it. Controllers are only better than keyboards in 2d fighting games IMO.

It's these kinds of stories that are the best. I started two days ago as well. I've died five times but for the past day I've been on a single character. I'm finally climbing my way up the ladder of success and I got my M4A1 Holo/Underslung320.

So, I'm currently using a .GIF as my profile picture, but I don't see the animation. The profile picture uploader said that .GIF files are supported so I don't see why it isn't working. The file is 39.4 KB. P.S. It works if you click on it and go to my profile page. Is this working as intended or not?
