I've been unable to find more information about a certain bullet point in the 1.7.3 patch notes. Is this something I can use for a community hive server or is this only available for private hives?

Holy moly Batman, paranoid much? It seems like he made a fire at night near Berezino. I don't know which servers you play on, but there's usually quite some traffic in that area and you may have noticed by now that fires are not very stealthy.

I don't know, since yesterday I've had to restart the server multiple times to get it to work. Earlier this evening it just wouldn't connect, but after waiting for an hour I finally got through.

Well, I noticed that my .RPT was exploding in size, probably due to a bugged out vehicle continuously taking damage. This was indeed the case, but after restarting the server the vehicles wouldn't appear. At first I thought this was just the server restart bug. But alas, this wasn't the case. All the old vehicle IDs on my server seem to have been replaced by brand-spanking new vehicles ID! The chopper apparently hasn't even spawned yet. It looks like most of the old tents and other static objects are still there though, but that's just a slight consolation given how much effort me, my buddies and the other regulars have put into obtaining and maintaining vehicles. Even though I'm quite sure this is one of those "unfortunate, but deal with it" moments - does anyone have a remote clue how to get our old vehicles back? Has anyone else experienced this recently?

The arma2oaserver.RPT file. Search for "Streaming" in this file (keep in mind it seems to get pruned each restart, I just make a backup every the server is restarted). You mean by actually "pretending" to be a bandit (e.g. shooting people to get your Humanity down), joining a bandit clan, raiding their camps and then keeping all their stuff for your own clan? That sounds very chivalrous indeed. -

Everything dupes. Tents and vehicle inventories get reset when you don't save them and when a server has been running for quite some time and starts to get a bit laggy it's even easier. I just warn people when I see them reconnecting a lot and that usually spooks them enough to stop doing it. In fact I've also had two(!) people yesterday who dumped their thermal AS50s after I messaged them through RCON.

How to spot Hackers in log files?

I found that 99,9% of the entries in setdamage and setpos seem to be legit. Only once did I find someone with multiple entries in setpos.log which indicated he went all over the map in a matter of minutes. setdamage.log is heavily spammed by people in vehicles (it seems like every little bump in the road does 0 damage and still gets logged) and setpos.log has the occasional entry of people zombielogging and getting reset a few meters to their last synced position. -

The ban(s).txt of ARMA2 is closer to the root level with regards to the directory structure. You have to go a few levels higher as opposed to the BE directory. You might also want to check your server.cfg as there's a bit about being either kicked or banned for modified data (it's set to kick by default, but in your case it's definitely set to ban). Remove yourself from the .txt and set the setting in server.cfg to kick and you should be fine. The worst that could happen is that you or other players get kicked once in a while, but an ARMA2 restart should fix that most of the time.

That's not a hidden gem, that's the kind of stuff you don't touch with a 10 feet pole unless you're ignorant and/or a douche. Furthermore, nobody ever saw that before and we really needed a clip of that. Edit: You guys got so over-excited over hacked gear I nearly lost my breakfast.
