    Are There Only 3 Guns On 1st Release?

    Yea I was thinking the same thing for example only having this weapon spawn at an American Chopper crash site as a rarer drop. Would be the only way id see it working in the future and for people to appreciate its value.

    FlagShip is not something i came up with lol. This is comming from their site http://dayzintel.com/dayz-weapons/m4 and im positive the AN94 and or AK47M can support and good amount of attachments to test out this feature and at the same time be a weapon that makes more sense being in Chernogorsk. As for the whole finding weapons in a house not being realistic 95% of the weapons planed for the game are hunting weaponary and Imperial Russian Army Antiques which do make sense being in a residents household. The M4 is the only Military Grade weapon that doesnt stick with fluidity of the current listing of weaponary. And IF there are going to add a Military Grade Weapon to TEST out their attachment system the Weapons i've listed above make more sense considering how much effort theyve put into keeping this game realistic.

    No doubt there will be an AK variants with some good solid attachments in future updates. The AK Series where in the original mod with a handful of common variations of this model. the sake of "authenticity" though, i beleive this weapon shouldnt even been the current build of the game. Also i disagree, i highly doubt M4s are commonly floating around in the world today. There US Military Grade weapons and not commonly sold or smuggled out on black market like the AK74's are to a hand full of ThirdWorld countries.

    Ok so currently DeanHall stated there would only be 3 Firearms in the current Alpha, http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/154380-are-there-only-3-guns-on-1st-release/?hl=weapons "What we actually said there would be 3 firearms at the start of alpha. With regular content coming in daily/weekly patches." Which is all well and good. To my understanding there currently seems to be the Mosin, M4 and FNH-FX9. Now after checking out this site ( http://dayzintel.com/dayz-weapons ) from the looks of things the devs seem to be going for balance and authenticity. Every weapon seems to be 100% plausible most of which are Czech , Ukraine and Russian variants. The only weapon out of place is the M4 and I dont know why it's their "flagship go to bandit weapon" or why they're bothered to even create 20 attachments for it lol.. Replacement variants that seem logical to me would be AK-74M or the AN-94. Seriously, nobody uses the M4 in Chernogorsk.. NOBODY.. lol I realise theres going to be a whole bunch of DeanHall fanbois flaming me on this one or even a hand full of Yanks with a hard on for the M4's but that's to be expected lol. Anybody that feels the same way let me know at the bottom.

    Ok i get it.. its alpha.. but this is worse than the mod.

    Human nature guys always expect too much from something. Once they get it its never as good as they imagined it to be. Played this build for about 15 hours so far. Pretty decent. Loving the new items and reamped world map. The only thing that was questionable for me was the lag spikes / memory leaks and how often i had to eat and drink. Other than that every major bug currently in this build was covered in the latest Dev Blog so i wasnt phased by it.
  7. It's true that in its current state 30 dollars is alittle high priced. I remember Dean Hall saying when they released the early alpha it would be around the 15 dollar mark. Still, those guys do need the payrole to continue developing the game at a good standard and id like to think anybody that spent that 30 dollars supports the project and knows what their getting themselves into. Then again some people dont and those individuals need to learn how to read the fine print.
