Went for a quick look on DayZ updates and saw this: 1,3 Million Players! Just another milestone showing this mod's epic success.

Lol we were at the booth but we didn't dare to go in. Everything looked so biznez :D But it looked a lot like you could simply play it there with someone answering your questions, so basically the public thing minus the time to wait.

I highly recommend you to try Red Harvest if you think you can accept some (read: many) bugs. The Red Harvest campaign was one of the greatest single player campaigns I've played so far because of the total freedom, the good story with its twists and the influence you have on the outcome. There are several bugs, but you can survive them. I had to replay one mission because it ended too fast so I couldnt finish a secondary objective I needed, but I was done in 1 hour with that. A rather hilarious one was an MV22 crashing into a tree in a cutscene :D. And if you have played Red Harvest, play EW if you have got it. It's awesome.

The machine specs are core i7 3770 @ 3.5 GHz, 8GB RAM, GTX580. However, the settings werent maxed out. They told me it was because of overheating but who knows...

Yep it is 1.7.3 and I didn't play it personally but I definively saw a German shepherd along with one player. According to the information guy from Bohemia / DayZ these dogs can among others track other animals and bark if other players are around. That is right, it will be the graphics from Arma III but the network code from Arma II which is "incredibly stable" (booth staff). I really recommend you to pay a visit there if you are at Gamescom, there are only 4 machines running DayZ and 8 running Arma III but at least today it wasn't really crowded and both DayZ (on maxed out graphics settings B)) and Arma III are worth a look. On Arma III you can play the entire Camp Maxwell showcase with firing and driving range, night, scuba, helicopter and infantry fight showcase. Question to insiders: Is there anything special at the Bohemia booth in the business area? And I need to get some Mountain Dew till tomorrow :)

Did you try this thing? You can land on any field that is longer than about 40m. And I am sure you will find some place on the map where noone will find it ( west of petrovka, north of gvozdno, west of myshkino only to name a few)...

I totally love this idea after starting this thing at 50 kph on a random field at vybor and landing it at 30 kph on another field having it rolled out after ~ 20m. Sad that it won't be added in near future.
