This is one of the easiest methods to auto-walk/run. First things first, run your game through steam. If you use DayZ commander there is an option in settings to allow this. Next, start running. Whilst holding down the W key, open the steam overlay, in-game (Shift+Tab). Once this is opened you can let go of W then close the steam overlay. Requires no objects in real-life which could possibly damage the key. To stop running just update the game by pressing the W key again.

Well, I was tabbed out of my game, sitting in my truck and when I tabbed back into the game there were 3 white, dead, hanging bodies directly infront of me and shots being fired all around. I immediately aborted because of obvious reasons. Server: DE 1967 Time: 20:30 GMT +0 Proof: http://imgur.com/bgZqN From the server list, 4 people are excluded that could be potential hackers/scripters: Myself (Ollie), Michael, Blynx, and Steven. This is because they are all in my squad.

Is the server down at the moment or something? I cannot access it at all.

And those trolls are getting people's anger from these types of threads. As others have said, just forget about your stuff, and think about how much fun you can have, aimlessly running around Cherno or Electro.

-Bump Playing Dayz for a while today, wanting to possibly group up with one or two people. Half-decently geared, preferably able to play for a good 2-3 hours.

Most people just see it as "Kill or be killed" type of thing. But from my experience it's difficult to judge if someone will backstab you or not. I avoided this by creating a thread on the forums about making a small squad with new characters, then if those people do kill you what do they achieve? Woohoo they killed a player for a bandage! I hope that this can be slightly fixed in the future with maybe a kind of small punishment for murder (Although I have no idea how that could be done). I'm interested to see everyone else's thoughts about this too. ~ Oll

Hey! Recently my friends and I purchased Arma 2: CO, and therefore installed DayZ. We are looking to team up with 2-3 mature people (16+, with exceptions) to create a nice small squad on a server of our choice. Currently, there is myself and two other friends that are attempting to play together. (Although failing most of the time ^.^ ) Our aims are to : - Gear up to a sufficient standard to where we can survive for a long time in 2's or 3's. - Make our way all 3 airfields with succession. - Find and repair a couple of vehicles. - Create a small camp to store our goodies and vehicles out in the wilderness somewhere. We will mainly be using Skype, or even the Steam Chat to communicate until we can sort out better methods (ie. A TeamSpeak server). Add me on Steam to ask any queries.
