I usually try to talk first, shoot later, especially if the other player doesn't have a gun equipped. Exceptions are server hoppers, if I see someone logging in at a military spawn I shoot them.

Actually the frontal lobe isn't fully developed until the mid 20s. He might not have done it on purpose, but he drew the line at the stage the human brain develops cognitive maturity. Can't argue with science.

It's not even broken. I have found lots of loot on a full server without a restart and I don't do server hopping. Don't blame the game, blame yourself.

Because it's not broken.

When do you think Private Hives will be supported
The Burned Man replied to rooniedoo's topic in General Discussion
I hope they will never go up, they ruined the mod, they went completely against all elements of the game. They had quick loot spawns, too many vehicles and removed night time. They attracted and kept a crowd that never wanted what the game was in the first place. -
Brightness settings at night ruining this game!

Interesting, when I go full brightness and gamma the game still looks like this -

I prefer night time actually, the lack of colors and the lack of visibility add to the post apocalyptic feel. -

On a full moon it is pretty much that bright anyway. Problem isn't the brightness you can turn up the brightness all the way and still see nothing as long as shadows are enabled. When you disable shadows you get what you see in OPs pic. So force enable shadows. -

Should antibiotics give you sickness?
The Burned Man replied to Felix (DayZ)'s topic in New Player Discussion
Antibiotics stop bacteria from multiplying, some also kill them off. Your digestive system has symbiotic bacteria that do lots of things. Antibiotics will kill them off to, which usually leads to diarrhea. It doesn't matter if you really are sick or not. -
What if you only had one life in DayZ.
The Burned Man replied to Darky1307's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Well that was what the game was originally about, before you came along with your hacks and your 24/7 daylight 5000+ vehicles spawn with a nuke servers. To answer your question, we got shot in the face over beans a lot, but not all the time. -
Don't do what Minecraft did...
The Burned Man replied to mazeash@mail.com's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
This is PC gaming, if people can't deal with with huge amounts of content, there are always consoles. Who cares what the masses want? That was pretty much the design philosophy of DayZ. It's why I liked it, because as we can see now, the masses don't want a zombie apocalypse sim, they want 24/7 daylight 3rd person GTA with zombies and cheats enabled.- 21 replies

Excellent, when all the cheating scum finally get bored the game might become fun again.

3 hacked games wtf is this garbage?
The Burned Man replied to Big Red Husker's topic in New Player Discussion
The problem with this software is that it's a simulation, not a game. As a simulation it's very open to customization, which makes it easy for people to write scripts for it. Most "hackers" you run into are actually people that got mad at the game for some reason and bought scripts, so they could finally get that great gun they never find in cherno. Popularity is what killed the mod. -
Well I'm taking a break until the next patch is out, because artifacts. Still it's an alpha, it has to be expected, I would even expect that kind of thing to happen in beta every now and then, probably because that's what betas were about before companies like EA turned it into early demos, by naming RCs betas. Just play something else until it gets fixed and then get right back into TESTING.
