Also even though the servers do have some pop US2419 / US1503 are hosted by TMW, so most people on there are friendly

id recommend just going onto an empty server. you can either rent one from dayz,st or something and just lock it for the two of you. or you can set up a server using dayz command center (google it) but tbh if you want to "practice" dayz, there is nothing like the real thing.

be sure that your screen and 3d resolution match, also hrd high will cause alot of lag, dont think its the source of the problem but all it does is let you see the outlines of things better at night, ill forward this to the more graphics related people i know, as my graphics knowledge is pretty limited.

Are you running the most up-to-date commander beta patch and nothing higher? also can you send a screen shot of your graphics settings?

Fuel siphoning was actually in the dayz code of 1.7.6.1 but it just wasnt activated, and in 1.7.7 that code was removed, so i presume rocket disapproved of it =(

I dont think they "Finally caught up" at all, bare in mind that origins is based off Taviana, and that map is far bigger than chernarus, they wanted to see how it would work in chernarus first seen as the map is smaller.

Bare in mind that the game isnt even in alpha yet, performance isnt what they are concentrating on in early development, when a developer adds new features it tends to cause lag and then after its added it gets optimized, thats why we are most likely seeing FPS drops during video's, i can assure you that before the release of the public alpha they will optimize the game to run better, id expect to see something along the lines of how ArmA 3 runs.

Turn post process effects off. should fix your issue.

Have you tired it on a few servers? some have VOIP off.

Thats the arma engine , not DayZ. Plus if you hit a block at like 80 SPD its guna mess your car up pretty bad.

It needs to be 5k+, also log in and out, should fix.
