Rocket my friend, The original idea of a survival game is awardwinning, but with more guns in the mix then we allready have the standalone will turn out to be a COD with zombies. Too much players are into the killratio rather then the survival aspect. I don't blame u and your team for this at all, u are limited to the surroundings from Arma, but the new items for the standalone should be more to thing u would use if it happened for real. My thoughts go out to baseball bats, spiked bats that people made themselfs, hammers and anything else u would use to bash some zombies head in. Maglite, machette and maybe swords (some people have those on the wall for decoration but is a zombie overrun world i would use it) For the inventory system, maybe it is possible to use a axe for silent killing without dropping your main weapon and ammo? Like i said i love the concept of the game now if we can only get rid of the COD babies LOL, don't get me wrong eliminating PVP all togehter is wrong since this is a part of the game but the way it is now is not as u intended is it am i right? Keep up the good work and let's make this a game memorable.

True, but most of the so called COD kiddies only care about kill ratio and not survival and scavenge for the supplies. u find sometimes a fully ,oaded player body, only because he is just for gaining another kill then for their food and other supplies. they come in the game, script themself some hardware and go for the most kills. go online with COD and all that happens their every single day. Let them stay there and let the people who want to scavenge and see how long they can survive play Dayz. And yes, if u are badly in need of food or drink the u can decide if u want to ask the stranger for food or u will kill him for food. I have kos once when i was coming dan the stairs and someone was pointing a gun at me. but i will never kos when it is not needed.

It is getting worse every time i log in. no i can't even play . i end up unconsious everytime i log in and i cannot use the ingame controls. have tried several servers, is this is the way it goes, Dayz wil day a slow death, everyone will lose interest before the standalone is out. The idea of Dean is nice to have a open field for players to decide what to do, but when u get overrun with COD idiots who are still in their diapers, than u know a normal game will not happen. u have to lock it down.

I think Rocket created the mod for the survival aspect, sadly that aspect is gone with all the COD kiddies en hackers destroying it all. The survival aspect is really why i started this game. Wish all the COD kiddies went back to COD so the normal people get to play.

Signed the petition, it is complete nonsense that it would endanger national securtiy , they are just angry because the country is going bankrupt. They just have to release them so they can go back to their families.

Hello all, Just got the game up and running about 30 minutes ago. Wanted to enter the game and just get my bearings, see if my computer can handle it and so on. But every server i join i'm forced to pick a side, i cannot go independent just to get the feel of the game. the option is greyed out. I don't want to join a group yet but just walk around the map exploring for a while to see how everything works. Is there anyway to do this? form the youtube movies i got the impression u could join a general server and walk around alone if u want. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Rene
