Lol a small ray of hope indeed, through a pretty large vast cloud of poop covering it up. Well at least the "friendly" ones are just that much more a sight for sore eyes when you do come across, still have had the unfortunate turns of events which usually just gets me shot at, but hey >_>; not everyone knows how to just ask for mah damn beans vs. taking. I've met more friendlies pretty well stocked and geared though in the woods vs' nekkid new characters/lives anywhere else, specially Cherno and what not, enjoyed your story though sir! Lol dynamite fishing, results are great zombie hordes to come steal all of your catches or your limbs :/ I like this idea very much, whether it can be applied or not. I like to fish so it will be cool to use this as a alternate source of hunting/survival for food, sometimes I come across a pond, or body of water well b4 that animal that you can gut for food. Most def. nothing wrong with the idea, you would be taking a risk of being somewhat open though for passerby's that just KoS, otherwise maybe someone will be a friendly and /sit cast there line out with, share stories of being shot at n zombie exploits. lol :rolleyes:

I keep basically saying as well, that w/o the idea of being on the lookout for "bandits/murderers" plz if you will...I guess I accept a my stereotype too of being a chicken-wuss**Edit**(Even though it works as effectively as it was for the other to just shoot at me..cus its takes such a champ to point there mouse n click at anything right?) or something to that extent apparently lol. I had my share of people I would run into where it was a escape from zombies into a house/barn w/e, worked together to bring down the zombies, simple /salute head nod, trade some beanz n sardines, then part. That also is very exciting and potential results of a world gone mad in a zombie apocoblah. An vice versa, I have of course had my share of random deaths where I just dont even know what happened, or get backstabbed, etc, save a guy from zombies, almost die, an guess I was put out of my misery and relieved of my gear lol. Yes yes all this is very exciting, whether it makes u pissed off, sad, glad, w/e. PvE still would not actually truly get rid of this though, there will always be zombies, and someone who is hostile/just wants to kill you, and ask no Q's. An that also is..just fine. So ya.

I am to understand, there is neither really actually PvE OR PvP, as in the mod does not try an label itself as either right? However, it appears to me that alot of this what comes off as rage/anger/sarcasm/boring resulting comments can easily point towards what the greater #'s of "survivors" tend to go..PvP. Instead of even in general just thinking about the idea of a PvE standardized(servers/rules what the heck ever) method for play,then If other bandit/murderers type players can group up, know how they want to play, kill anyone w/o question whether it is for there supplies or just for fun/safety of themselves, then that is no different than the others to wish to be able to survive, explore the rest of the map, find some cool loot(weapons,items,grenades, etc.) Because that is how we have fun, it is fine for this all to mingle and make DayZ what it is, ya, no crap. However, as I read earlier that the idea of PvE is going to ruin the game in general..that is just..I got nothing for that jsut lol. Almost every time I did see someone try and give a positive thought on PvE DayZ it was to enhance the game in a means that will keep allowing the "PvE" people if you will continue on there way of playing. "PvP" players if you will, shoot it down b/c it would make things more boring?(for them/to them). Afterwards it is usually the "PvE" who are cowards,weak, trying to just..make the DayZ world a awful crappy boring place just with the option, or something to clarify that other friendly players want to group up, same as the hostile bandits clanclowns want to do, in order to..what was the point of the game? SURVIVE!!! :D haderpaderp. The only thing I get out of some of those who do oh so hate the mention of PvE, is that they are afraid of this as the real result. Zombie apocalypse, ya there probably realistically could be alot more hostile, unfriendly type of people, but there still will also always be those players that enjoy playing with a different take on things, that is the damn right of anybody who picks up a game and starts playing, drive off the road/off course for shits sake, we are enjoying the game all the same, nothing stops up from it, or there would be that invisible wall or game rule that takes over. Why don't we bring most of this to a close, because it looks like it would only get more brutal from here, what with quote bashing left n right from both sides. I may try and see if I can make my on topic for ideas on how PvE can be emphasized better into the game and what it offers now, and that seems like a perfectly legit way to go about it..for starts at least. This way anyone who prefers to be a friendly, has a better chance to play this way. I probably have not reached or made a lick of sense to much of anyone w/this post, an that is fine. I just would mostly prefer that mostly there would not need to be so much, foulness about merely how a discussion on a topic or a game folds out. Edit: Lol Bulletproof...Actually I prefer goat meat..but to each there own. You basically just did the same thing, you pointed out what you thought was a boring outcome or aspect that can be put into the game. Again..for god sake that is fine, but it still does not change anything about whether PvE is good or not to be put within the game man.

I had a hard time finding matches as well, so your not alone on that. You can find them in those buildings with the bar and upper-rooms, where i found some. Canteens are in there as well, but as well as many other other locations. Just keep looking, you will find some eventually.

This pussy earlier def. just survived by not shooting back, and hearing the guy shooting get overrun by zombies, screams, so on, giving me that chance to slip away. *Edit* That itself is a example of why the PvP can be exciting just be fair on both sides, why PvE gets a middle finger shot at it instead is silly, it still does not mean at all there is not something to do and be entertained by. Personally, I would easily get bored of just shooting other players, unless I know they are my enemy(as in shooting at me to kill). So it sometimes is easy to see where an how others stand along side, or against one another i guess as far as a simple idea about how to play a videogame. PvP and PvE can co-exist just fine too, but not with a negative thought, having to be right all the time or close minded by any means.

No joke there, I like when this topic comes up it seems very one sided to me, so I have to play something else, while b/c I play a certain way with other means of having fun that it is not the right way to play, and its boring,dumb, etc. Seriously though, I would not mind this mode, and there are plenty of ways for it to co-exist with the precious shoot others mode. It is a fact that this game is only playable or fun in PVE style..opinion. If you get rush or jolly from killing other people on the spot, whether they see you or not, then fine, if you dont, and prefer to claim friendly and work together or run for your dear..17th life or so, fine. Lol Exactly, I heard that. That first time I met a gillie suit man chase me I cant honestly remember last time I got such a rush from a game(lol sounding like a junkie..for beanz). That one person actually just wound up catching me along the road at dark, passed me a gillie suit n NV. :o Saving a guy from 15 zombies with mah hatchet...then have a bullet in my head from him, n then there was the time i was pinned for awhile by a sniper near a hospital, etc. Good times to be had, plenty of eventful situations to give me a heart attack :P

Well since you had to quote me there I guess I should clarify better what I mean by "gtfo" out a confrontation, or just bullets being shot at me(around me w/e). I get my kicks by gtfo in the game not logging out, though whether the creators intended this or not, its there. When I log out, it is b/c I go afk, or take a break. ;) Either way you look at it there's just squabble over it, someone wants to say its them being treated unfair, getting short end of stick, they cant do this/that. So this is all also just --->my opinion<---there are no facts/rules to this which force you to act a certain way(This is the point of DayZ right?). One would say"Man up" or something like that over this, well I would say they should too>_>; Just let people do as they want do. An let it be. Keep trying Wheelspk!, I can understand not wanting to be shot down(again perhaps?) Yes sure, pvp is a part of the game lala, so is trying to survive and go for as long as you can.Which to me sounds to me like that is how Wheelspk wants to play, he does not get a jolly from "murder"lol. If I hear gunfire, I probably will gtfo as well, have plenty of times before, it has nothing to do with being afraid to die in game, there is just not much reasoning with the unreasonable :P It does not really matter how you go about the situation anyway, most are just going to try and justify it with whatever excuse they can form. Just keep trying to play the way you prefer Wheels, there r friendly players out there, who will reply to you when you ask/call. Just be ready to defend yourself all the time is all.

Gave a shot of morphine I did not need to a random survivor in need, met him by the lighthouse, we teamed up for a short time to get survival gear. I gave em some beans, and all was well.

Thats the spirit Drake Sigar, its good to at least read that there are other players out there somewhere not just out for blood. I normally do not get into a server that starts me off in pitch black night, but I thought maybe no one else does right? I stumbled across a small fort in the middle of the woods after doing some walking along the roads, I approached as cautiously as possible, and staying vigilant to my surroundings, I crept my way into the fort to look for any supplies I needed. I was just entering the fort tower(or w/e it was.. don't even know where this spot was+was dark, was new life, no map.) While i was stowing some beanz i heard a player call my name on his mic "Hey, Ash..?" All I got out was a "Oh sh--" and bolted from the area inside, back into the woods where I kept low, I could still faintly here him, I knew he was coming my way so due to experience with 90% of player encounters being fatal I keep running, making my way back to the road. I figured I had lost him, or he gave up the hunt and let me be on the way, he can have his canned beans. Shortly down the road after, I hear someone running up close to me from the woods, it turns out to be my stalker from the fort, he greeted me with a gillie suit and NV gifts, but also a gun pointed at my head, just in case I was going to aim one at him would figure. After few words, and thanks for free goodies, we went about our business. Sorry if my story is boring from reading it, I tried to shorten it the best I could lol. :P I even happened across the same guy later on, cruising around on his dirt-bike, offered me a ride, declined however, was time for sleep. It just goes to say, everyone is going to play a certain way, and that is what makes DayZ what it is right now, even if the #'s feel like its 3-1 most times.

Sorry to hear this Mike000, it is a shame we did not cross paths before you went Vader, we could probably have worked together, I see and understand what your saying completely. It is just the mentality and play style of everyone else that did not match up so well with your own. I have had my share of encounters the same as you man;saved one player from zombies in a random house in town just to be shot by him afterward, run into random person get shot/chopped up. Then I have had encounters with people I am sure want to just kill for for there giggles, and end up giving me night vision n gillie suits lol. Just trying to say that you can keep trying to play as you seemed to prefer earlier. Everyone will play there own way regardless, and think its the one right way to do things(lies). Which is also just my opinion, and way of playing the game.

It is not a terrible idea, it just has a few seemingly negative results. I would not mind as much dying to a npc bandit as I would the random player bandits though.lol :thumbsup: :lol:
