Well if you delete @DayZ in your ARMA 2 folder and reinstall it using DayZCommander that very well may fix it. Not to mention patching up ARMA 2 using DayZCommander, it's super easy. I've noticed the addon problem happening to some people joining servers.

Yeah, my tent disappeared, reappeared, thought everything was fine, put my stuff in it. Lo and behold today- gone again! And this goes for every other tent on the server and vehicle spawns. I know this because I staked out some other folks tents and vehicles at their spawn points to make sure it wasn't just me. This has been happening for 3 days and makes it so extremely difficult to play. Not to mention I switched backpacks and my old one and all of its contents disappeared into the ether today. I now have 0 medical supplies which is a royal PITA. I'm just glad it's not only me.

I'd just recommend using DayZCommander. As long as it works as well as it has I'll never use any other launcher.

Yeah, I tried to warn people yesterday when that was happening to me but I guess it'll have to hit most of the players before anyone cares.

Kind of glad they fixed it. Bizon and 4 mags was endless bullets. I have 250 zed kills courtesy of that bug. But I'm glad easy mode is off now. I have a reason to keep an eye on other guns I find laying around.

So I get a new cache setup last night on my favorite server, getting ready to move to central Chernarus to help folks, everything's going as planned. This morning, double check everything. Looks good. Get off of my ATV to go find a few more supplies and the server goes down for the update. Finally able to log back in and my ATV that I had hidden is MIA. I figure that sucks, maybe someone found it, but not the end of the world. I hike it back to my tent to also find it and my associates truck missing. They aren't out in the open and there was pretty much no one on a stable connection, everyone was getting kicked who joined due to a high ping. I've been lead to the conclusion it's due to the servers updating... So, it may be too late but if you can make it back to your tents, vehicles, etc before they disappear, grab all of your important gear! It could be gone very soon and you could be like me, a doctor without any supplies.

Okay, I'll check back on the server I frequent but it was extremely disheartening to find out everything I'd been saving up to help the people on the server had literally vanished. I'll be crossing my fingers it's all there soon but I won't get my hopes up.

Happened to me after the patch. Also my supply cache, tent and all is gone after I trekked 10+KM back to it. That was a serious "ugh!" moment.

I think you mean it's just as easy for a server admin as a normal player to "hack" the game. But that doesn't really mean anything other than anyone can do it.

I only trust people within arms reach. Hence why I always work alone and build trust between single people rather than groups. Even people within arms reach can get you killed if they make a rookie mistake. Like firing their gun in the middle of Gorka at midnight. That place attracts dozens of zombies and they swarmed me rather than him. I've learned it's good to know a lot of people as long as they all don't group up because that will get you killed. I mean we've all seen how this turned out.

Yeah, the server update will do it, a bug that "kills you" will do it. It's happened to me 2/3 time I've last played. Not to mention I think the update may have reset a few vehicles and tents afterwards because I'm missing a decent amount of gear but not all of it. Certainly makes my job a whole lot more difficult when this happens.

I think the whitelist and the folks Dr. Wasteland oversees are probably the best folks you'll find. I'm sure there are other smaller groups but they don't get nearly the recognition that he has. Perhaps there will be a master list someday. For now, try to make some good connections. It's really not as hard as it seems. Just avoid hackers, bandits are tough to figure out but you'll learn where they like to hang out, idiots you shouldn't even run into since zombies usually clean them out and the rest should be fairly good people. Conversation, especially voice chat, are lifesavers and your best tools in some cases. If you ever see me, feel free to bother me, I may have some good loot spots I could point you to or help you out with something.

I have a Bizon and the best part about it is headshots are still one shot kills so if you set it to semi and know what you're doing those mags go a long way. And then there's the automagic mag/clip refill when you rejoin a server. I don't purposefully exploit it but it takes forever to burn through those 64 bullet mags if you strictly aim for the head. It's the perfect gun if you're looting a town that isn't occupied by other players. PvP- probably not the best option.

A thread bitching about people complaining about hackers. At the very least the people complaining about hackers are providing information that is useful. This thread, not so much.

US1173, there's a downed heli with 2-3 boxes of medical supplies. Marked it on this map. If anyone, TMW or the whitelist need it, I've marked it here. Do me a favor, keep it friendly if you see someone there. There's more than enough supplies for 2-3 people to be very well off.
