Since food and drink are going to be less common in the Stand Alone... If you can hunt animals and drink straight out of ponds why couldn't you fish for food. It would make sense to have more than two ways of finding food in a zombie apocalypse. I cant think of many other ways execpt maybe gather berries and such. Any ideas for other ways to get food? Also running with the idea of drinking out of ponds, there sould be a chance you could get sick doing this, (or maybe infected for that matter). You would need to boil the water or have some sort of water filter to cleanly drink the water. Just wanted your guys opinion on these topics and if you think they would be good ideas.

Much agreed, I would rather him take his time to make a much more complete game than rushing to finish it for a certain due date. I would rather him take another year if that means the game would be that much better None the less, I have the utmost confidence for him.

Wont bother you with the whole thing so here it is. On the 12th Day of Christmas Chernarus gave to me: 12 Engines Humming 11 Snipers Sniping 10 Crawlers a Creeping 9 Assholes Hacking 8 Legs a Breaking 7 Zeds a Spawning 6 Noobs a Spraying 5 Cans of Beans 4 Zombie Hordes 3 Epi-Pens 2 Round Slugs And a bandit with an AS50. Made this kind of fast so if you have better line for any of them let me know. :)

This is the story of the ghost heli. It is night on chernaus and me and my friend want to have so fun in our chopper that had been sitting in our base for quite a while. So we take road flares and throw them on our chopper and it is lit up like a christmas tree. As we pass over cherno and eletro to see what kind of reaction we can get from any bambis, we notice another heli has been followed us for quite a while. So we turn off our lights and soon the flares burn out, we try to lose him because we had no ammo for the MG on the side. We lose him many times in the darkness but he always manages to find us some time later. So finally we have to refuel but he is still behind us, we stop near the fuel tank below the NE Airfield. Then we get out and start shooting the heli, me with my MK48 and my buddy with the M16. The bullets fly right through his helicopter and he flys off never to be seen again. A ghost or a hacker? Probability the latter.

With a name like xLegendayPro im not really conviced that you arn't a COD player.

Are you sure you guys are not joining private hives or russain servers because you will not have your gear on those servers. Try and join a regular pub server to see if this is the case. If it is, you should have all your gear.

So the day night before the stand alone is released what are you going to do with your character, and what kind of crazy sh*t do you think the people on DayZ are going to be doing that night. It is going to be a very crazy last night that i plan to attend. I know im going to make the biggest zombie hoard and try to run them over, and it that works, im going to go to the cliffs between Eletro and Cherno and drive my UAZ off the edge and get the biggest airtime I can. Anyone else want to join in?

I know this game is set to realse this month so i think it would be fitting for it to come out on the end of the world. AKA 12/21/2012. Im sure Rocket has already though about this but it is cool idea regardless.

I am currently running DayZ with Arma 2 Free and have very bad FPS for no reason, if i bought the whole version would it increase my FPS?

In Arma 2 you spawn with a random character and all you can really change is your face. I think it would be cool if you can change some features of yourself aside from the hero bandit and clothing system. You would be able to change color of skin, face, gender and what clothes you start with. obviously you could not start with a ghillie suit of something like that. I think this would add some personality to your charater and so you could distinguish between different members of a group more easliy becuase in a real survival situaton you would not everyone would look the exact same in a ghillie suit.

I had a base past the dam and i have driven over it plenty of times and never had a problem with it, i did it with the UAZ though so maybe that makes a difference rather than the ATV

If we are not taking the SA then yes thermal should be taken out of the game entirely. In the SA there should be thermal weapons but there will be a counter to them. Such as if you have a ghillie you will not show up on thermal.
