    Hacking must be stopped

I think all this whining about hacking AND bandits is excessive. Hacking: I've been playing about a week now. Been hacked twice. I'm sure there's more of 'em out there, but you just change servers. If you're on one that's safe, play. Maybe note which one it is. Bandits: I've been playing about a week now. Been kiled by players two or three times. They hand out in particular areas, mostly. Avoid those areas. Or be prepared to fight. Both can be alleviated in part by playing on low population servers. Especially the hacker bit. Out of 45 people, the odds of at least ONE of them hacking are much higher. Also, a server with 45 people is much more likely to DRAW a hacker. Quick frickin' pissin' and moanin', all of ya. And quick expecting grand and glorious things from a frickin' ALPHA. It will be months, possibly a year or longer, before the "big issues" are worked out of this thing. If you want to play cooperatively, make some friends, dammit. If you want to fight zombies or explore, then avoid high population servers. A lower population server, you probably won't even have much trouble poking around Cherno. I swear, I don't understand all the complaining about this or any other game. The instant one player harming another becomes a possibility, immediately PvPers are all considered "douchebag losers without a life", anyone who does well MUST be hacking or cheating, etc, etc. You all know the drill. I don't suppose anyone's willing to just... you know... PLAY the game? Whining about the game is a lot more fun for most of you, it seems.
  3. I watched my brother shoot down an Mi-24 with a rifle. It's rare, but it does happen.

    Take out .50 cals

For people complaining about the TYPE of weapons present... May I remind you of this obvious fact that you are all missing: Chernarus is supposed to be a part of NATO, and use a lot of NATO gear, as well as Russian gear and vehicles. Finding high end NATO style weaponry in their bases would NOT be out of place. In fact, for all the people saying "you wouldn't find this much shit", stop for just a moment and think. Do you think in the event of a zombie apocalypse weapons, equipment, etc, would spontaneously disappear? No. It would be either in the hands of some person, or laying somewhere. Even if it was six months AFTER the apocalypse, the weapons would still be laying around. If anything, from a realism standpoint, there's not ENOUGH Shit laying around. In the USA there's HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of firearms! In my house alone, there are two shot guns and four rifles. In one friend's house there are three or four handguns, and a four or five rifles/shotguns. If I start tallying up JUST the people I know in and around my town, I quickly turn up DOZENS of firearms, not counting knives, swords, etc. Every house isn't going to have a weapon, no. But A LOT of them will. In a country that doesn't have civilian carry, it just means the weapons would be concentrated in LARGE quantities in and around military bases, camps, and battlegrounds. So.... Enough.

To all spawn killers out there!

I haven't had much chance to bandit or champion... I must confess it would depend on my mood and the circumstances. I've no problem shooting someone down, even noobs (since I have no way to know if they're ACTUALLY noobs, or if they're some PvP champion freshly respawning from a failed endeavour who will later stalk me). Neither do I have a problem NOT shooting someone. I do know one thing. If I shot someone, and they responded somewhere with a post like this OP... (((SUCCESS)))
  6. Well, I've been playing a few days. The first few days were pretty tragic. As others before have said, most likely if you're not finding anything, it's because the area has already been picked clean. Stick to lower population servers at first. After days of struggling, my character is now two days old, I have an AKS74-U submachine gun, a 9mm Makarov, multiple food items, water canteens, etc, etc. I'm frickin' loaded. If I die, I'll just come back and do it again. After a relatively short time, noobs should be getting the hang of navigating around the zombies. They're not really much of a threat, except for the occasional screw up. It's easier to ditch them in a city, run round and round til you find a warehouse or other building you can run in (since they can't run indoors) out the other side and go prone out of sight. If there is a zombie out that door, run around the building and repeat, until successful. A far bigger threat is other players. Hanging around the southern coast, it's only a matter of time until somebody you didn't notice pops you. When you spawn, poke around (quickly) for food or liquid items that you'll need, then head north, FAR FAR away from the coast. Once the above points are accomplished, you will be threatened by the occasional player who wanders up north to avoid the clusterf*ck on the coast, and hackers. Hackers you can't really do anything about. Just log, if you can, before something bad happens. Apply some variation of the following rules: #1 Don't get attached to your stuff #2 Don't get attached to your face Expect to die. Expect to start over. Don't bitch about it. I love this thing, and so do my friends who have got into it on my insistence. It's an alpha. It's buggy. Get used to it.
