Unless they find a way to get rid of hacks, I'd say, limited. people cannot alter the workings of the game engine itself, but admins can customize maps, loot tables and manage vehicle spawns and zombie spawn count. If possible at all, customized maps would be great.

Macro bandits tend to ruin your fun and act robotic without any intention to roleplay. Some parents let their pacifier sucking inbreeds play R rated games, but hey, life sucks. And that basically all there is to complain about. Awesome server, great admins and great roleplay in general. Just try to avoid the little kids. They tend to have the skill to ruin any great game without any effort at all..

The only time I encountered one was when I was on a Namalsk server and I was AFK for a bit in the woods. When I returned the hacker was next to me, probably teleported and spawned a cardboard box with tons of guns in front of me and vanished. I didn't took any because I don't like to get banned, but at least he decided not to teleport me 100 miles into the ocean or anything.

Where there is loot there are zombies. And where there are dead zombies, there are hungry players. And dead players usually means angry and hungry players.

It would be funny to have a hardcore server setting somewhere. That if you die, you get banned for a week or so. That would be funny, and then people will think twice about ending their lives because they broke a bone or two. You will think about death a lot more, and try to avoid doing stupid things a lot more.

In my opinion if you die in DAYZ, it's practically game over. You respawn it's a new game. The luck you have so you can find your dead body and continue with all your stuff doesn't make it a continue of the game. You fucked up, you died, try again.

My favourite is the M1911. It fires a bit faster than the revolver, and they share the same damage. A headshot with either of them usually kills a Zed instantly. I also have a hunch that the revolver is a bit louder and attracts more problems.

Not sure though, if you get sniped off your bike it will fall over. Only gracefully parked bikes will stand like that.

There is a difference between a bandit and a murderer. Killing unarmed spawns is for overpowered asshole weaklings, who won't dare to take on people who can actually retaliate with a weapon other than a flashlight.

I am a medic, so I refuse to kill anyone unless they directly assault me. scout a lot, and try to hide. Whenever I spot a bandit or group that looks like they are doing fine without my help I just find a pinetree to camp under. Keep watching their movement and make sure to be hidden until they leave the perimeter. Nobody likes bandits as nobody likes to get their stuff stolen.

DAYZ, This is your story. I play to help others. I find joy in helping those in need of assistance. It reflects my real personality. In a game like this you definitely reflect who you are, and who you enjoy you are. Why do you play as a bandit? Why do you play as a sniper shooting people who spawned two seconds ago? WHy do you play as a medic, risking a bullet in your head from the person after you heal them? Why do you hoard beans? or just ammo? What use do you have a vehicle? speed? risk being spotted for speed? why use tents? To store things you might have later? Or just to forget its location or it being robbed? It's all about how you shape the personality you want, because nothing is stopping you. You spawn on a beach with nothing, and you end up with what you want to be. Alive! Why do you want a helicopter? For me DAYZ is a game where I can be myself, and no code is stopping me from doing so. But yes OP has a point, why do it the hard way if you can do it the easy way? There is no real penalty in being a bandit, why? Because only in movies the bad guys lose. You can be a hero, but it doesn't make you more of a god than a bandit. In reality you are who you are and how you deal with it. This is just a game. a life means nothing. If this was real, would it be any different? I say yes, but it's a game, there are no consequences. You die you respawn, the end. :)

I was in Elektro once to get new supplies, and when exiting through the west part I heard a sniper shooting at me. two shots, and very close they wizzed by. I just knew he was camping north of me, So I ran from building to building further back to the east and I couldn't spot him. I slowly but steadily left the city and tried to avoid open vision to the north. Snipers will be snipers. They are like sentries, just stay out of their line of fire and they are harmless. Whenever you venture into the cities, just try to avoid direct line of sight with the known spots, and if you have to do something stupid as stand around in plain sight, then at least keep moving in unpredictable directions.

I indeed cannot fly a real one because I never tried, I need to learn first. But I however do not break my legs by jumping off a table, and I know that morphine does not heal broken bones. I also know that zombies don't exist, and that you can't simply fix any helicopter by attaching a random rotery engine to it without even the slightest amount of tools and knowledge on how to do this. I also do not need windshield glass to make a car drivable, and ammunication doesn't magically spawn in random buildings. Hatchets work fine without reloading their mags, and at night I cannot magically see better by upping the gamma correction of my eyes. I can drink from a waterpump without the use of a bottle. A shot to the chest cannot be repaired with a mere bandage and my bloodloss is not replenished simply by eating a truckload of baked beans back to back. And..so....on
