Sitting Characters are Harder to See

I think the problem is that sitting is not a stance, its an animation, when you sit your stance is still standing, so when the game gets your stance to calculate visibility it gets standing as your stance. -
AFAIK you cannot generate enough power with your arms to snap a neck, strangling would be a better idea though he could elbow you or awkwardly shoot you with a pistol.

You can be a lone sniper in ACE, there is no artificial limit, having a spotter does make things easier because he can use his high power rangefinder to find the range and watch where the shot fell if it didnt hit. Sniping is harder in ACE due to wind and zeroing is done with MOA and range table instead of simple meter adjustment.

I believe the speeds are relative as IIRC there is no unit given in the speedmeter. -

I prefer the graphics in ARMA to the overprocessed BS of BF3.

Crew served weapons, such as M2, Kord, maybe even a light mortar should be added to the game. These weapons are heavy and require two people to carry, one carries the carriage and the other one the gun, these would be awesome for ambushes and for setting up a machinegun on the hill and destroying everything that moves, as i think customisable vehicles are confirmed to be in SA you could put a big gun in your car, and what would be better than driving around in a pickup while your mate desperately tries to hit something with a mortar firing from the back? Maybe a very rare weapon would be M134 found on crashed helicopters, would be hell to fix and to set up and it would eat lots of ammo and it would have no real uses but think of the message your sending at 3000 rounds per minute!

I can extend your logic to apply to all firearms, in fact why not make dayz so that you are a civilian running around amidst zombies looking for food! That'll surely be fun.

Shotgun damage should be instant kill, and potential for multiple kills.

Shotguns lack penetration and the spread is low because otherwise the range would be even more horrible, and i dont think in real life a single 12 gauge 00 blast would be enough to dismember. -
Permanent death is a part of the game, when you die it should be a great loss to your group instead of a nuisance that costs them one phoenix down.

Obviously it would be overpowered if you are on the receiving end, but the thing requires 2-3 guys to carry and assemble and its useless if you get ambushed as you wont have the time to set it up, this would be an excellent counter against helicopters too.

Most mods are released under non-profit license and i doubt the devs would be cool with their work being used to make money they wont see a single cent of.

It slows down the release of gas, without silencer the gas is released in a single sudden impulse causing a loud bang. A silencer releases it over comparatively longer time making it a longer but quieter sound. That said, i think even silenced guns are atleast 100Db so even with military silencers we are not talking about great advantage.

By doing that you just wasted a perfectly good trap.

Most booby traps, military and improvised, are designed with anti-tamper devices included to kill EOD personnel, the safest way to disarm such devices would be to lay some C4 on them or try to shoot them until they explode. I support this as long as every trap is somehow visible so you dont just stroll around and walk into an invisible insta-kill device.

You can combine TOH and ArmA II in a way that some helicopters in arma have the flight mechanics of TOH if i recall correctly, so i guess it could be done if the RV2.5 isnt dramatically different.

This could actually be done with not too much trouble, just give shelves etc inventories like weapons crates have and make loot spawn there.

Bit of a mental idea: Resuscitation aka "revival"

Resuscitation hardly ever brings a person back, apart from drowning victims, most of the time it is done so the people nearby feel they are doing something and dont go into shock or some shit and it might prolong the persons life long enough for an ambulance to arrive. As far as i know soldiers never do CPR because it doesnt work well with combat traumas and the success rate is so damn low. And CPR is done in the event of no pulse, in Dayz your heart stopping would be caused by massive bloodloss and CPR would only pump more blood out of those holes. -
I tested singleplayer once with only DayZ mod active, the missions didnt work, plain and simple. Also, you can make two game shortcuts and use modfolders for quicker switching inbetween mods.

Change use of .50 cal Sniper Rifles

Replace the .50s with, say L115A3 LRRs, weighs 7kgs and kills people from far away, also according to wikipedia Czech 601st special operations group actually uses them. Anyhow, i dont see the difference in being OHKd with a .50 versus being almost OHKd with a 7.XX caliber round. -
Two of those articles are about burns and one is about transurethal resection of the prostate, most wounds in dayz are combat traumas which are different from those.
