I tested american and russian small arms and hand grenades too, they dont penetrate the bush.

Red Ryder BB gun should be added, it would be rarer than the .50s are, practically non lethal and very short range and poor accuracy.

I just tested in the editor and it seems that 120mm APFSDS tears through russian armour but doesnt penetrate a bush. This is interesting.

The reason for differentiating between SD and non SD ammunition in the game lies in the game engine i believe, atleast in ARMA 1 the properties of the round were determined in the data of the round itself and the gun couldnt influence it, for example if you loaded SD ammunition to weapon without a silencer the rounds would be silenced because the bullet data says so, so it is made that you cannot load SD ammunition to non SD weapons and vice versa. Workarounds however do exist i believe. -
A .338 as the ultimate weapon would be alot better alternative to the .50s in this game.

Wikipedia tells that PASGT helmet is rated level IIIA, meaning it stops pretty much all pistol rounds but not rifles.

If stealing cars was to become so difficult i'd like also having more options to damage a car other than shooting it. For example slicing the tires with a knife, cutting ignition wires and puncturing the fuel tank. -

Why would anyone aim for the head in the mod? If you have a decent gun chest shots are one hit incapacitation or kill anyways. -
A simple split to FMJs and HPs would make sense, military stuff is always FMJ and civilian stuff is usually but not always HP.

Hollow points would fit in, especially if in the standalone theres less military weapons, it would be logical that there would be less military ammunition then.

I dont think any military stocks up on HE, incendiary and hollow point small arms ammunition, as its banned on the hague convention, the smallest HEI round i can think of is .50 Rauifoss. So these different ammunition types would be rarer than FMJs.

Chernarus seems like the kind of place to have conscription, this means virtually every adult male can handle an assault rifle and know the basics of shooting people, i dont think the jump of going from AR to sniper or marksman rifle is that big, and besides keep in mind that this is not a role-play, the skills of the character come from the player.. And keep in mind that the military wouldnt train everyone to be a sniper even if everyone was a crack shot, they have no need for a million snipers. -

I have always considered crosshairs a thing of the past when FPSes didnt allow you to aim with the weapons actual sights. Remove them.

Several sling loading scripts exist, i cant imagine it would be too hard to add it.

A flamethrower would be hilarious, the tank should take lots of inventory space to simulate how cumbersome they are. LPO-50 flamethrower has range of 70 meters with thickened fuel, it fires its fuel in 3 bursts. I dont see a problem if it was made super rare.
