Because taping 2 magazines on eachother makes them take less space because fuck logic. And not like you cant carry tons of ammo already.

Suppressors dont diminish the force of the bullet, but the use of subsonic ammunition. -
Why would anyone use a submachine gun? An assault rifle has more range, is more accurate and does more damage, and having a compact weapon is of no use in current ArmA.

They could change the hatchet so it goes into primary ammunition slot so it could be equipped like hand grenades. -
Because who wants a gun famous for being .50 chambered in anything else than .50 As far as i know DE is a pretty bad gun.

Im not sure BI allows you to modify assets they made, for example they dont allow you to modify the existing models, instead you have to make your own from scratch. -

Approaching a safe outpost would extremely dangerous, as those who want to kill people know that there will be people, they will just camp nearby and kill everyone. -

I dont see a problem with western weapons as i believe the apocalypse happened during the the US or Russian invasion of chernarussia, so there would be lots of weapons. http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8867&highlight=FAMAS That is a nice looking FAMAS. -

A big city wouldnt work because of the lag caused by all those building models. -
Perhaps a type II vest? Offers protection up to .357 magnum but is completely ignored by rifles, also it can only take a few shots and then its pretty useless, wouldnt be overpowered but would still be nice so a random ambusher with a makarov wont take you down.

Stabbing people with the hunting knife

I dont see any problem with hit detection as the way it would work is that the knife doesnt actually hit anything, it just shoots a very slow range bullet each time you stab and you get a nice animation. -

A hand grenade in a empty bean jar, someone walks to it and it topples it and the grenade comes out and you have one very unhappy survivor/zombie. -
FIrst of all im a noob in dayz, i have played only for an hour or so. But reading the forums i get the idea that dayz has devolved into a deathmatch in a zombie environment, so what if zombies were deadlier? As in better senses and more numerous, so you actually have to beware them and not just leisurely walk past them, then you couldnt just ignore the zombies and go kill players.

If increased zombie amount is not possible then increasing their health would give the same result, but it would be very annoying to pump a magazine of bullets into a single zombie. I dont think sacrificing some graphics is a tough price if it allows better gameplay. -

yaqu, if you just enjoy the guns then why not go to editor, put lots of civilians on the map and start shooting at them?

Hitting someone unconscious with a baseball bat is potentially very lethal, but hand cuffs might be good, they already exist in ACE mod. -
i fail to see how hitting with a club could instakill a zombie that can take 5 rounds to the chest.

The character already lowers the gun while sprinting, basic gun safety.
