I'm quite positive. ..but on to the subject, i think all these loading screens are simply pictures with a randomized timer. Rocket mentioned DayZ as a social experiment, i believe the experiment is about the actual loading screens and to see how far people will go to play a game they enjoy. Is there a limit? Is it the vast loading times that makes the game fun? Can you become mentally addicted to loading up games? Are server hoppers actually loading screen junkies that haven't come to terms with their problem? That's the only reasonable explenation for this.

Forums are unfortunately a harsh environment with very little room for empathy or friendly support. This guy was just happy about something, why can't people simply be happy for him without bashing him to pieces with envy or disgust? I too would probably feel special if the creator of something i've come to love took an interest in what i have to say. Though i likely wouldn't post it on any forum ;) It's interesting, if he posted it on facebook noone would say things like that, because they know him in real life. But here where we don't know eachother in real life, people tend to have pineapples stuffed up their anuses. Will it ever change?

It's pretty simple.. If it's in the game and you didn't put it there, then it's part of the game.

Broken legs doesn't trigger the respawn or kill character due to a.. yes... it is a bug.

Which version was it running (Dayz + ArmA 2 beta) when you last were logged on to it and which version do you have now?

It was better to give us an approx release date and if it goes to shit, they can always tell us, the date went to shit due to whatever reason. This is transparency that will make the community trust and support the developers with whatever problems they may encounter. Not saying anything is just shit and only aggravates the community/customers/whatever, this goes for all kind of business out there with an end user/customer. Not leveling with customers will lead to mistrust and eventually they will look for other options. It's rule #1. - make the customer feel important and seen.

Suggestion: This base idea comes from WarZ as far as i know, or atleast this is what they said. The details is just me rambling. You can find diaries in doorways to barns or secluded houses, when you press read, a voice starts reading it out loud and at the same time the game loads an Instance in the background, when the letter is finished (maybe as an intro not telling the whole tale) you get the play the scenario of the diary as the people who wrote it, how they barricaded the house, while zombs trying to get in and fending with their last breaths. If you survive (this will be frigging difficult to achieve!) there will be some really nice loot spawned in at the inner room (where you couldn't get to before reading it) If you die, the house owners, probably a family, will spawn in behind you in the doorway and you just have to fight your way out.. the prize for this is to simply stay alive. Should be able to group with friends in this instance. Diaries are very rare spawns.

Suggestion: Being able to put cow blood or mud/dirt (when it's raining) on your clothes as a cheap type of camo blend.

This guy makes some great movies i think. Not so stuck up, overexaggerated as others i've seen. ..and this ladies and gents.. is what it's all about :)

I honestly don't know how you keep finding these hacker servers, i have never been killed by a hacker and played for about 2 months now. Sure, i'm positive someone with a non-legit weapon has killed me, but that's not a hacking death imho. Never been teleported Never been dropped from the sky Never died for no reason, except for obvious bugs My worst enemy is server admin kids restarting every 5 minutes. That makes the game unplayable for me.

Yes if you are desynched (red chain) or even yellow, then you should never logout.

There is a very simple solution to this. But first i will tell you what happend to me. I had the almost perfect setup, M4 CCO, PDW, NVG.. you know.. i trip over a zombie break my leg, faint, then zombie kills me before the timer goes down. Ok, so i'm pretty frustrated by now, this was at the town far mid-west of the map by the way, i start running back, find my stupid body, get ALL gear back! :D So friggin happy by now.. logout-login to save the character incase of server crash/restart (no message received). I log back in and i have NOTHING.. well yes i have my bandage, painkiller and the fleshlight for lonely moments in the dark. Ok, any way the solution to this is that you need to wait for some time to let the hive save your current character status. As you know, sometimes you seem to get stuck on "Waiting for character to create" screen, just to have it loosen up and start loading right when you think, *fuck this shit, i'm outta he.. oooooh here we go!* That means the hive connection is pretty slow and this counts for everything the hive does with this server, this day. So keep your stuff for at least 10 or 15 minutes to be sure, then it really SHOULD be saved with no doubt.

Was at NW airfield, fully geared with ghille, NV, DMR..etc.. found a grenade, threw at zombies, landed at my feet.. dead.. ;P
