Sniper on UK12 can go f~@% Himself!!!
TSNet replied to Sinsinful's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Running around in the major cities has its drawbacks, as my contemporaries here have already stated. Stay low in the streets, hug walls and as soon as you get your gear do not stay even more than one single second more if you don't have to. If you play this game long enough you'll realize that snipers in order to get a good view of everything can only ever be in one, two spots per city. If you can shy away from rooftops stick to residentials and supermarkets you should be fine. One last thing: military drops in Elektro and Cherno are the most camped places in the game world. If you want to survive to get inland, try not getting ANY guns in these cities. Get your Ghillie, basic weapon, bag, food and drinks, and equipment there yes. But the moment you go up to the second floor or higher in any of the firehouses or in any of the open streets near them you're just asking for it. -
Free tip for all you noobs out there: If you ever find yourself spotting someone and wish to better your chances at making them a bit more honest, learn to say "we" instead of "I" when you hail them on direct chat. As in "WE can see you right there. WE'RE friendly, do not move any closer though or WE will blow you away." This has saved my ass numerous times. 3/4 of the time they scurry away, 1/4 of the time they want to be let in the building because they need help or supplies. Edit: Of course this doesn't work if you are the only two people in the server and the guy you spotted has half a brain.

I have put just over 150 hours in this game, exploring the sights, feeling the sheer dread and terror of fleeing from zombies, the shock and adrenaline of being shot at (and not getting hit, at least at first), getting the good loot, dying, getting the good loot again (but faster), trading for the first time, driving every vehicle (yes Huey included, I got shot down over Cherno), feeling the rush of meeting your first friendly survivor, and after all of that I still want to play more. I used the search function on the forums and it seems that people need help with their endgame. If you've already fixed up cars, stashed them and lost them, played medic to friends and strangers, bandit to the unwilling, what else is left to do? Not much, as was already discussed. Instead of complaining about our lack of in-game tools to make the game more sandboxy, why not think bigger and better? How about groups of more than twenty survivors playing friendly? Humor me for a second. If a massive group of like-minded players in a server worked together, we can make a man-made structure near the coast outside of zombie spawns! If you die you take 10-15 minutes to walk back to the fun as opposed to 3-4 hours gearing back up to PvP. People will guard your corpse. Tents will be up full of loot just for our activities. Just a few examples I thought of: 1) If we find two or more of the same type of vehicles, let's make a race track and race! Let's have teams with mechanics to fix the cars and drivers! 2) Gladiator fights with weapons chosen by the crowd! 3) PvE contests where contestants try to kill as much zombies as possible And so on and so forth! People, if you feel like you've done it all like me and you want to make something epic let me know! Your ideas and feelings towards this matter will be greatly appreciated.

We can do a quarter mile for endurance races (fixing the car/refueling at the right time is key I know at least some of you follow F1) we can also do rally for the offroad vehicles and even a race throughout the whole of Chernarus! We can put people at certain points of the map to log lap/section times! Mountain Dew and steaks for the winners!!!
-
Yeah, we can make Kamenka to the SE coast a run, swim to and from Skalisty Island, then a bike run to the edge of the road in Berezino! If you make it without getting sniped you win basically lol.

DANCE COMPETITION! Protip: spamming the salute button makes a good funky chicken.

And watch them Alt-F4 in sheer terror probably lol.

What Has Changed The Dayz Player Mentality

I started reading this thread pretty late, and was pretty excited by your reply here before OP revealed himself as an idiot. I will now post my thoughts on this in a separate thread. -
NVG and/or M4A1CCOSD with clips for Ghillie Suit
TSNet posted a topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I'm looking to trade tonight, not a trap, its a case of too many silenced guns/nvg and not finding ghillies/died in the only camo I ever found :/ I'm also willing to go down to Camo Clothing for the gun but not for the goggles :) -
NVG and/or M4A1CCOSD with clips for Ghillie Suit
TSNet replied to TSNet's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Already traded! Sorry folks! And thanks for the concern for the two people :D Beans for you. -
Thanks man! Trade with this guy was not only smooth, but we actually tagged along for a bit and raided a few spots before parting ways. <3 Beans beans and more beans
-
If you already have NVGs my best offer is M4A1 CCO SD with 2 clips very good for surviving alone. It's a really good deal, if you still want NVGs I'll take both your remaining Ghillies.
-
I'll trade you a pair of NVGs for it. Let's trade ASAP
-
Ghillie really is all that I'm missing... If you're nice and promise not to double cross me I can go down to camo clothing. That is if this guy doesn't get off his ass and reply to my offers...

Get wheels get fuel get going! Start a cross-server network of single tents. Listen to music while camping out under the stars, look for a boat on the ocean (bring heat packs), force your real-life friends to play... Keep enjoying yourself and tell us if you manage to fix that truck!

Hmm it seems that this is the key to 3DP off servers. Peripheral vision is my number one argument for using 3DP. IRL we have it, so in-game we should compensate for not having it through going 3rd person. I did not know we could fisheye it like this. Cheers to you and some beanz.

You have my beans good sir. DON'T GET TOO COCKY WITH WEAPONS 1) most of the time sneaking is better 2) other players can hear you clearing an area. Good luck!
-
I'll trade you an M9SD for one. No clips though. Edit: Or a pair of NVGs but I think you need to give me a bit more for those.
