I've basically bought the game twice already (arma2/SA) And im happy to hear the game will some day be available on PS4 which is a nice piece of kit. Idk who these "many people" who wont be happy with Stream or BI just because a different team will be working on a PS4 port. Its pretty childish and selfish to get worked up over something so silly.

The announcement of a PS4 port is worth it for the reactions alone from the PC elitists. Ontop of that Dayz will be available on PS4 someday.

Nice guide. How much a hit on performance/framerate does this take recording gameplay compared to when recording gameplay with fraps ? On "obsproject.com" it says "GPU-based game capture for high performance game streaming". And whats the capture quality like compared to fraps ? -

Well, the handfull of people iv met with a M4(or anyone who had a firearm), killed me on sight. I was always unarmed... Im really hating the loot spawn as is now, cant defend yourself against them military kitted out mudafukers and their M4's. Gimme a god damn slingshot or something, how about a spud gun ?, fukn ridiculous.

OP, your showing extreme ignorance. Having said that, iv now payed for this game twice whichever way you want to look at it (along with alot of other people). and Dayz is doing really well on steam. So i hope BI put alot back into development and hire a much larger team to belt out substantial updates alot quicker. -

Yes really, This whole forum was fully expecting it to release at any minute leading upto christmas last year. Regardless of them now server testing, the expectation was very similar. -

The sense of deja vu in here. Anyone remember this very time last year ?, when everyone was just as much expecting it to release any day now. Had you been told back then that "a year from now and it still wont be release yet", would you of laughed in their face ?, i know i would have. -

So yesterday we get a mudafukn choo choo train, but still no word on release today ?, an attempt to build up hype no doubt, and a very annoying one at that. I guess they feel its necessary to fuk with us some more, god damn sadists!

Does not compute... what does that mean ?, that only loot and Z's will load into the amount in the red area ?, would a sniper in the red area be able to see and kill someone in the blue area ?

Yeah man.., that makes like zero sense. BF or cod costs 50e or more new, with another 50 on map packs, or premium services.

Would be cool for this to release for halloween. id play all night with the halloween theme tune playing on a loop.

I predict that the SA will release during the launch of the nextgen consoles, to help keep the servers from exploding.

Regardless, it put a more concrete idea of a pending release into peoples minds, leaving the doors wide open for impatience to develop much easier.

This impatience is somewhat justified since the original first date for release was last december. Then everyone was left guessing until early in the year, when they gave a hopefully march, but probably june window next, that came and passed with other rumors of july....now their saying nothing on a release window. So we went from a release in last december to almost a year later with no one the wiser on a release window.. But in fairness rocket has done a descent job with the latest dev vids explaining the story. And at the end of the day the longer we wait, the better for the game when it does hit. It would be nice to get a release date by someone who will realistically step back from the project, look at what needs to be done and calculate how long it will realistically take, rather then giving the impression that they only half sure of what their doing with alot of uncertainties about their teams abilitys to get the necessary done.

Yeah, dont get me wrong. im all for a good foundation, and for the standalone to be the best it can be when it finally hits... however long it takes. What im not gone on, is the vague info being given on a release date/dates we'v all had to bare with since last december. Thats been the most annoying thing. Youd think theyd know exactly (and im not saying they dont) what they want accomplished before the standalone is unleashed on the public, and how long that would roughly take, maybe narrowing it down to a 2 month window for release. as in, look at what needs to be done, look at the amount of man power you have, estimate the amount of time it will realistically take. Maybe its all down to politics going on in the background though, or maybe they'v just genuinely been adding more, and more stuff with limited man power, and thats whats pushing release back. Its not a massive team working on the project, but the fans deserve a release date at this point even if its christmas. That would be sweat. -

So what progress has been made so far on the standalone over the mod ? From what iv gathered from the last 6 months is, a New skeleton and animations for your character that greatly improves all movement. Zombie path finding that will hopefully make the Z's more believable in their movement, and act and attack like real zombies. Map is improved with alot more enterable buildings/loot spawns, and new areas. UI reworked and Zombies run server side now aswell..... Gimme me 6 monkeys and a time machine, and id get all that done in 2 months flat.... :P The longer this game takes, the less i expect from it. I hope it turns out great though and releases at some point in the next decade =P I seen some new pics, one in particular that shows a building with a plane crashed through it, with all the rubble all over the street. When i buy the standalone day 1, i hope theyv done a top job on reworking the map with alot of little touches like that... and the zombies, i hope to god they nail the zombies, i watched a vid last week with rocket showing some gameplay, and the zombies looked a bit suspect.. the new Z animations are cool though. -
