Would you play DayZ if it was a top down game? Would you play DayZ if it was only hosted on local machines rather than dedicated servers? Reason I ask is think of the scale of the DayZ. As it currently is it is hard to imagine someone doing a game like DayZ without copying basically every aspect of the game. So what could another company try to do change DayZ. This is very much just a day dream wondering type of question not trying to say anything about WarZ or things like that. Just putting the idea out there that their will be companies that try to do something different, drastically so sometimes (top down). So what could DayZ change and still have you play? Interesting point from discussion: So could single player DayZ with an actual win condition work or maybe just a Co-op style? Edit to make why more known.

No no you are correct and that is what I believe as well but the reason I am asking is think of how big a project it would be for a new team to try to create something like DayZ *Example WarZ... Seems like it would be a reskin but youd have to do SOMETHING different to set yourself apart.

Was walking around and found a guy spawning in himself a camp in the woods. Of all the hackers I have met in the last couples days (around 20 or so) he was the nicest. He just wanted to build is little fort and enjoy the evening sun. Though then another hacker or two blew the whole thing sky high.
