Im a noob when it comes to this stuff Mayuyu so can you please explain how i export my current cd key to the desktop

I already tried that i get "Cannot edit Key: Error writing the value's new contents." And no mine got stolen so i bought a new one off the interweb but im having difficulties

Im trying to change my cd key and i keep getting an error that says "Error opening registry path, run program as an Administrator!" Im the only user on my laptop and im left clicking and selecting run administrator so im not for sure what do to. Any help would be wonderful since i havent been able to find anyone else with this problem
