    Hello. I've had the same problem, just to confirm (in theory) you got Arma 2 on CD and Arma 2:OA on steam or something along the lines. Any case I've manage to sort the problem out! What I did was Uninstall Both Arma 2 and Arma 2:OA Then reinstall them. Run Arma 2 Run Arma 2: OA Patch Arma 2 from patch 1.01 to 1.09 Run Arma 2 again. Download dayz mod. put in the OA directory @dayz/addons/ install the beta patch run CO you might still get one message still at boot up but the game runs fine
