yeah i saw just figured i could use as the dayz db but only on that print the headers etc

looking for a decent server to call home for awhile and play on I am new but willing to learn the ropes, dont have to be a carebear server just fair...any good ones out there?

I bought the combo through steam no problem and I used this method http://www.dayzwiki.com/wiki/How_to_install_DayZ and scrolled down to steam manual installation and had no problems just make sure ya download the patch file as stated etc

For us users that have a android base phone or tablet there is a nice app called Day Z Map Guide on play store and its free. has overlays and sattelite views of specific areas and of course the same map as day z map db very nice instead of having to alt click out of game all the time until ya get a actual map in game.

I am interesting in paying for a dedicatedserver but I am wanting a company based in the US. I was thinking of a host like godaddy(money not so much a issue) but how would i then install the game on their server being I have the game from steam. and alot of the hosts ive seen for day z are EU based and I prefer to give my money(no offense) to a us based company

well they do offer dedicated at godaddy btw but guess ill have to contact because id like to know how im suppose toget arma2 and the mod etc onto their end

I use the day z db map(not sure how current it is but never in tons of servers i goto do i ever find a vehicle i can repair and or drive...when they blow up do they go back to their spawn points or where they were detroyed? and tricks or tips to finding any thanks!

yeah i figured they were hoarded but not like that lol eve n a atv or bike for now id be happy with. ill go keep looking thanks agian. I know its alpha im sure lots of things will change as we progress.

So i am curious as of latest patch do we need a toolbox to repair vehicles or just certain ones? Also when i worked on a atv I noticed that unless i had scrap metal or a tire on me the atv did not even show up as repairable...is that how it works for all vehicles because i thought on cars etc you could get in them and you would get a breakdown in uypper left of HUD showing what needed repair? And as of yet even using the day z map at http://dayzdb.com/map I can never find any vehicles that are repairable so I assume unless i have a tire or a toolbox on me they wont even show up as repairable? or am I just htat unlucky there are never any to find

ah ok well he was almost on top of me and didnt respond guess maybe he didnt know how or was just being silent.

So I am not clear on the chat I hit , to scroll through channels wether it be direct communication or group chat(which I dont think you can even group in game so that seems odd) but people never repond back that are in front of me luckily one guy didnt kill me but I said I was unarmed etc in direct chat but no go is there no typing in the game?

I am looking for a few folks to group with i am new and if you are too thats cool as well...no mic here as of yet but if ya wanan group with me and try to survive add me on steam im grodak71 tired of playing alone and those i meet in game shoot first ask later even if your unarmed...suppose they think ill chew their nose off:)

I am new learning slowly but i am learning, sorta boring to play alone and yet i need to get a headset since my mic isnt working so that will be a week or so before that but in meantime still would like a decent server where I dont have to worry more about bandits then zombies lol. wish zervers held more people

So how hard is it to find players to meet up when your new? I am about to spawn but have no clue how if i meet someone say on here we meet up in game since there are tons of servers in te hive.

also game takes forever to load even on low ping servers and i have a very fast computer and connection im assuming just how the alpha version works alsways the lopngest wait after waiting for character to create then the screen that says loading that one takes forever
