Bullshit. Got a global ban today, I've never used hacks or run scripts or any shit like that. There's clearly a way that people are able to steal or spoof GUIDs or CD-keys. No other explanation, and the devs sticking their head in the sand and "vehemently denying" things doesn't help any of us.

Well of course Battleye says there aren't any "false positives". Same thing happened on my server this morning, got me as well. Never hacked in my life, but I'm sure Battleye is just gonna tell me that CD-Key stealing is impossible and they don't have false positives, even though we've all seen this happen to innocent people. And the Day-Z team here will just tell me to talk to Battleye, like they somehow aren't responsible in any way for the company they've hired to protect their users.

That is not true. Go ahead, try it. Keep server hopping with those hacked guns and watch how often you get banned. Stop trying to hide behind the "rules" when you yourself are breaking them

If you want your vehicles to reset, just restart your server. It will respawn the heli. That is what he asked for, that is what I told him to do. Venthos you must have some kind of social awareness problem because the OP clearly just didn't understand what he meant by restart, he just wanted the helicopter back. Once again, I'm gonna give you leeway and assume that you have a different host and maybe restarting your server doesn't respawn all your vehicles. Hell, you claim that a restart would wipe tents which has never happened to me so obviously things work differently on your server (or you don't understand it, can't tell really because you got all defensive). It does for me on my server though, so if you don't know what you're talking about maybe just bow out of this thread gracefully and save some face instead of calling me "dumb".

To clarify, I'm using Host Altitude and maybe Venthos is using a different hosting service so we could both be right, not trying to be a know-it-all dick.

Lots of bad information already here. No, it isn't admin abuse, you should restart your server often anyways, it's an important part of server maintenance (I think people don't know that and think every time a server restarts it's because the admin is greedy and wants a helicopter. Those people are...simple). Doing it right after you're killed is one thing, doing it when a hacker hacks a vehicle of course isn't abuse. That is obvious to any adult. Venthos is way off, most tents will stay on a restart but your vehicles should all respawn.

Gog, they're actually totally right on this one. Those entries absolutely show up in remoteexec.log when a heli crashes, I get them every single time a heli crashes on my server. Maybe the confusion here has to do with people using different beta versions or something but I know for a fact that the majority of the time they are false positives.

Do you think that we have some kind of magical admin panel, where we press a button and everything that happens on our server is presented to us clearly and in plain text? Like we get some kind of freakin spreadsheet? We're digging and parsing through gigabyte-sized text files of code looking for anything out of the ordinary. It's literally our only weapon. We speak an entirely different language and you're sitting here telling me you understand it.

The fact that you think an AS50 would show up in the logs is complete proof that you have no idea what you're talking about. Guns don't show up in the logs, you'd know that if you had a server or did admin work or understood any of this instead of stamping your feet like an angry child who isn't getting his way.

Here is the point: all of you who think admins can't ban for having hacked weapons, I invite you to stop us. I always ban for hacked shit. It's hilarious that people think a server could get blacklisted for that.

Any decent admin would kick after 4 lines of beartraps, total red flag. I get that the rest of you just don't understand what we actually see in logs, but ignorance is no excuse for talking out of your ass. If you aren't an admin, you don't get it, and you shouldn't be talking.

I am amazed at the cognitive dissonance it must require for somebody to say "I demand that you follow the rules about not punishing me for not following the rules." I think maybe some of you guys just need to say it out loud, to yourself. Sometimes things don't sound crazy until you hear them.

How on earth can you mods justify the amount of shit given to the admins? Are you seriously not going to ban this jerk who's threatening to DDoS people? If you're going to create a platform for players to harass us the least you could do is get rid of the very worst of them, come on.
